There's a pretty decent chance the Rangers won't win again until that game v. New Jersey. @ Toronto tonight, v. Pittsburgh Monday, @ Boston Wednesday, v. St. Louis Friday, @ Philly next Sunday. That's a brutal stretch where they face all playoff teams as well as Philly who is still technically in it on the road. Devils on the other hand are home v. Arizona today, v. Buffalo Monday, @ Detroit Friday, v. St. Louis next Saturday with both teams being on the 2nd end of a back to back.

Improbable? Likely. Impossible? No since they have that game v. each other which could swing things.

It is possible we don't get another point this season. It is possible the Devils go on to win 3 of their remaining games? Their schedule seems easier then ours even though we have a couple games in hand. Likely not going pass us but there is a chance(queue the dumb and dumber meme).

I don't like the way TB matches up against the Caps should that happen again but I actually think G isn't part of the problem there. He'll hurt them more if they play a fast team like Toronto.

Buffalo, Detroit, Carolina and Florida......theoretically having a chance at winning. Biggest of all, vs us on April fools day. We still have a legit chance at 4th.

Nothing to do with Hockey, but I need to mention it since I know some swedes enjoy soccer as well. Spain played against Norway in a qualifier game - a huge game and we are in the same table as sweden. We lost the game 2-1 vs Spain, but Martin Ødegaard had some involvement in his young age against a top midfielder from Barcelona in Sergio Busquets who is a well known player in Spain, and that small sport event created headlines in Spain newspaper, because it`s always a rivalery between Real Madrid and Barcelona!
Martin Ødegaard is a very talented player similar to Mats Zuccarello in hockey, but probably more talented in soccer who was bought by Real Madrid 4 years ago when he was 16 years old. I know @ManUtdTobbe watch soccer so I had to mention it here. And Sweden won last night so he is probably happy this sunday!

Even though what you said is true, you and others are "bypassing" being concerned about Buffalo. They are TIED with us. So, catching the Devils would be great, but we kind of need Buffalo to win as well. A 3 pt game would be best.
Those 2 pts last night DESTROYED any real chance at catching Devils......although it still can happen. Even Detroit has Buffalo 2x, and Devils. I believe we will run out of time, the Rangers will certainly figure out a way to "eek out" another win or two. Like last night.
