Anaheim is bad, Wow. I am actually going to a couple of games in March, will be out there in CA. I may be the only one in the arena by then. lol.

Rumor on main boards about Breadman to Preds. WOW..Tolvanen Filia Fabbro 1st all may be in play. If I am Gorts play Winnipeg against Preds. Hayes and Zuke on Preds is exactly what they need.

Good point if Nashville makes that trade they have unleashed all they could to become top dog in the west maybe even the league. Winnipeg and Chevy would have to respond. Would be nice if duchene and stone resign with Ottawa that would help out a bit. If Nashville got someone like the bread man then I think Winnipeg might have to get duchene.

Anaheim getting slaughtered once again. Anyone with dreams of a bottom 5 finish , put those dreams to bed. We’re simply not bad enough. Gonna be picking around 10th again

I really don’t think this is true. The Rangers schedule left isn’t easy and a lot of these teams around them or below them currently are going to be playing each other as the season progresses. I think they’ll be around 5-6

looking at the standings, we've actually been really clutch at losing to teams below us. Last minute goal in LA, blowing it against LA at home OTL, losing to the Sens in a shutout, Brenden Smith's highlight game against the Wings. Two ugly losses against the Hawks. The terribly reffed game against the Oilers. Getting pounded by Arizona. The two bottom teams LAK OTT should pick up 3 points between them. It's gonna be a 3 point difference between 31st and 25th.

Rangers own the 2nd worst goal differential in hockey.

Yet they sit at .500.

The last 28 games gonna be ugz.

The tenor of this place would be MUCH different if they were 2-6 in shootouts rather than 6-2. That extra point is the only thing keeping them from the depths of despair... But they've got a great shot of ending up there regardless.

The Devils are a mess as their roster should indicate. I would take ottawa over them in fact if Ottawa's ownership wasn't such an issue it wouldn't even be close. Ottawa has better younger players/prospects as well.

Is Anaheim so bad that they occupy the entirety of the bottom 5?
I’m saying there were already a large handful of teams that we were fighting with for the lottery and now Anaheim came roaring back with a 20 game losing streak or whatever. It’s a crowded field and just getting worse. Look at all these trash teams and the crazy losing streaks all of them have gone on throughout the seasons. What was the Rangers worst losing streak, 3 games? We just can’t compete.

It just happened a month ago.

Again, I present to you the facts posted above.

They have the 2nd worst goal differential in the league (Behind only Anaheim, who is way ahead of the pack) and have been propped up by a fluke streak and a skills competition.

Since the turn of the new year, they have the 4th fewest amount of points, thats with their recent "hot" streak.

They're about to trade away 1/3 of their top 6.

It's gonna get ugly.

This team is bad. Other teams like LA, St. Louis, Philadelphia and Chicago were horrific early on and have more or less pulled even or passed the Rangers. It's taken time, but they've fallen back to the pack and gotten to the point where a win or a loss can mean + or - 4 spots in the standings.

That wont be the case a month from now. Relax.

Does anyone still think the Stepan trade was a huge loss for the Rangers?

Chakya is a dope.
Word, that trade might still look great if it was JUST for ADA. Add the 7th pick and it’s “what the f*** were you thinking”.

Remember when certain posters were claiming that a disaster? Same posters who said the Zibby trade wasnt good. Good times.

Does the lottery take ROW into account? Or is it only points/standings?

I can't remember one time this year when we've scored a goal after we pulled the goalie--OTOH after we pull our goalie I'm kind of expecting the other team to get an easy one into our open net. Last night Carolina did it twice.

Might as well add it seems that we give up a lot of late goals. So it's not like the Rangers haven't kept a lot of games close the majority of the time---it's that they tend to f*** up when it counts the most.
