I assume part of it is St. Louis paying the bonus he is due at midnight. But an overall steal for the Blues. Adding O’ Reilly, Bozak, and Perron to their top 9 today and opening spots for Kyrou and Thomas to challenge for. Good day for them.

Reilly, Dermott, Zaitsev, Liljegrin. Skating.

As for St Louis. They made out pretty well.

LoL are you a Leafs fan?

Liligren struggled mightily in the AHL and has pretty much regressed for 3 straight years.

Leaf fans can hype him all they want but he’s not gunna be a solution anytime soon.

That said they have lots of pieces and options to fix the D and I’m sure they will address it.

He said 2019-2020. I think he'll be ready enough by that to at least be on the bottom pair.

But sure, go ahead and be a :eek::eek::eek: and insult people.

With the smurfs
Bruins, TB and Leafs are top teams for years.

Florida had an off year but have plenty of young talented players.

Buffalo will eventually evolve to something relevant with Eichel and Dahlin as a foundation.

Detroit is rebuilding. Ottawa is a train wreck. Habs are both.

Would've liked to see him in the Black and Gold. Top end speed, great penalty killer and 20+ goal scorer

He has basically averaged 30 goals a year the last 6 seasons.

He's getting the same money and less term than a far less proven player IMO in Evander Kane.

The Marchand and Pasta deals are great, but 7 million per over 5 for JVR is pretty fair IMO for the production he's done.

its true if you find the most stupid contracts in the nhl and use them as a bench mark to sign new deals then its pretty damn fair for everyone concerned

thank god I cheer for a team that doesn't do that though

I'm just as confused by it as you are. I figured Dubas would have to give something up to get rid of that contract.

Well Lou signed him to that contract in Toronto.

Probably as simple as Lou sees value in the player that Babcock and Dubas don't.

I know that is hard for the capologists on HF Boards to understand.
