saw that he will have an in-person hearing which means it can be more than 6 games but no idea when its scheduled

Good. IIRC, I think an in-person hearing guarantees at least a 3-5+ game suspension. He should get 40 for this repeated nonsense.

And I never did forgive the NHL for making me miss the banner ceremony just because I'm a decapitating cheap shot artist.

I have to admit. Even in this rebuild, if NYR went over to play SC Bern of the Swiss League, only scored 2 goals in regulation and needed OT to win, I'd be concerned. That was the same lineup they'll start the regular season with. I wouldn't be flipping my shit or anything, but I would definitely have some concern - especially if I was counting on them being a Playoff team.

The Devils just beat the Jets the other night 5-3, I don't think they they have much to be concerned with.

They have plenty more to be concerned with, like not having a forward outside of the top line scoring more than 35 points last season and not making any improvements in personnel. They should be concerned with having to rely, not only on that top line but, mostly on one player to repeat an MVP season.

We aren't talking about KHL or SEL or even Liiga or AHL. NLA is probably the 5th best league, and that's debatable with Czech league possibly squeaking in at 5.

Like I said, I wouldn't be flipping my shit or anything because it's still a group of solid, professional hockey players and they were playing their hearts out. But, once again, they needed MVP Hall to fly in and save the day. I guess we'll see in the next few months if there was cause for concern.

The Devils have had a ton of luck recently, (Hall, Butcher, Hischier), but they still kinda...suck.
