Predators' Austin Watson suspended 27 games by NHL
Between this piece of **** and Voynov, how can the NHL not have a domestic violence policy?
This shouldn't be hard to grasp. Don't hit your girlfriend, or anyone else for that matter. One strike, you're out (no pun intended).
This is phenomenally done
Is it just me that finds a joke that this shit can play in the NHL( after his suspension) and Voynov can't?Predators' Austin Watson suspended 27 games by NHL

There were marks on her chest, and it's domestic violence nonetherless. I don't think any team should sign Voynov, just find absolutely ridiculous that the NHL forbid Voynov the possibility of playing in the NHL when another abuser can, even if his hits weren't as devastating as Voynov's.There's a big difference between hitting your wife so hard that she ends up in the hospital (Voynov) and grabbing your girlfriend's arm during a heated argument that leaves a mark.

Yeah, basically this. Maybe I'm ovethinking things but this is one of the rare cases that I think nationality has a hand in how the punishment is decided. There are definitely double standards when it comes to this. The NHL is still glorifying Bobby Hull despite his actions, yet Voynov is not allowed back in the league and Austin Watson gets a suspension for 1/3 of the reg. season. Out of these 3 cases, Hull's was clearly the worst but he is still an ambassador to the Blackhawks, was celebrated during the Centennial ceremony etc.
Didn’t Voynov’s visa have something to do with it?There are definitely double standards when it comes to this. He doesn't wanna spend 8 years in Columbus, he doesn't have an injury history and he can make more money in the FA. I think, in his case, the benefits far outweight the risk of injury.Seguin is staying in Dallas
Looks like Karlsson is headed San Jose or Vegas. You would think a huge 8 year contract extension is part of the deal
Panarin should take the Columbus offer. 8 years and basically whatever money he wants. You never know what happens. Panarin has a bad year. Maybe he gets hurt. The CBA could see changes in term limits. Take their money and guarantee your future. See how things work out. Maybe ask for a trade in the future with a full NMC/NTC. Nash did that. You never know what free agency will bring.
Why would the NHL consider reinstating Slava Voynov? That's a good questionDidn’t Voynov’s visa have something to do with it?
