But they damn near won just a couple months ago. A bounce here or there...i think im in the minority here, but i don’t care how good you are; you can’t be making 12+ mil and have a Stanley cup caliber roster. Mcdavid and Drai are incredible players but the oilers won’t have much of a team around those two.
Agreed on the finesse but he's always been a player that pushes through pain, which might extend his value for a bit before dropping it harder.I agree.
Leon has never struck me as a player that puts his fitness first. But I don’t know that for sure.
There are some players that make conditioning a priority and they are able to be productive well into their 30’s. Probably not $14m productive, but there is not fall off a cliff at 33/34.
Will be interesting in a few years.

I think that was their only chance. Gonna be downhill for them going forward. But they damn near won just a couple months ago. A bounce here or there...
There isn't a whole lot in the west that I think can give them much of a fight in a 7 game series.I think that was their only chance. Gonna be downhill for them going forward.
I didn't realize how good he was last year, 35 points in 45 games in the NHL.Guenther spent half a year in the AHL last season and just signed a 60M contract. He's good but they're also banking on him a bit
He’s really really good. I remember wanting him or Hughes in that draft. Happy with McTavish thoughGuenther spent half a year in the AHL last season and just signed a 60M contract. He's good but they're also banking on him a bit
Yakemchuk had an absolutely nasty play to win for the sens in OT. Only preseason but man that was a nice play by him.
He is going to be so good. I really hope we dont regret passing over him
I currently have the same vibes regarding Demidov. His start into the KHL is outstanding. He is going to be so good. I really hope we dont regret passing over him

With Yakemchuk, it is all about how his D will work out. The insane offensive potential was never questioned.
Yeah the Ducks really can't afford for Sennecke to be the Ducks version of Patrick Stefan and Pat Falloon.Ya Demidov looks like the real deal…. I hope sennecke can have a strong season and out some of the hate on the pick to rest
Passing on Demidov, buium yakemchuk etc could be potentially rough for us.
This is why I didn’t necessarily hate the idea of moving down to 5-7… and if sennecke wasn’t on the board no big deal there was plenty of talent.
I don’t think that’s possible but him being a 2nd liner rather than a top dmen/top forward is going to sting a bit .Yeah the Ducks really can't afford for Sennecke to be the Ducks version of Patrick Stefan and Pat Falloon.
My biggest fear, as with all projects, is that it doesn't become a Sam Bennett. A player you want but that took longer and a change of scenery to become good.I don’t think that’s possible but him being a 2nd liner rather than a top dmen/top forward is going to sting a bit .
Obviously he’s got a ways to go before I’m worried about that, and hopefully he’s a stud
I like sennecke too…. Just hoping he makes our scouts look smartMy biggest fear, as with all projects, is that it doesn't become a Sam Bennett. A player you want but that took longer and a change of scenery to become good.
I do like Sennecke tho. Just my thoughts in general
