The case with the cheating girlfriend was Djurgården-Färjestad waaaaay back. The Djurgården players still brag about it, I guess they have no sense of shame.

I feel pretty good about both AIK and Djurgården becoming irrelevant as hockey teams.

Tbh it probably wouldn't happen if you spoke french because they aren't pronounced the same way, the letters J and A are pronounced different in french than english, and there's no Y sound before the U in french. Interestingly enough though, I was thinking this might be a problem if you were listening to a french speaker say his name, but if you were watching a french hockey broadcast it probably wouldn't come up because looking at a clip it sounds like they try to pronounced english names in the english fashion.

a friend from Quebec tried to order in a cafe in Paris and the waiter ignored him and started talking English to him ;)
Its quite a different pronunciation, compared to regular French, no wonder given the distance

Geez. Pretty sickening all the rumors people were spouting off. I think we forget how much traction those rumors gain, and the impact it has on the people involved.

So, Perry has a substance abuse problem. That's a far cry from all of the rumors circulating. It's too bad those involved for starting those rumors aren't held accountable. They just get to go on with their day like nothing happened.


I'm not throwing stones, either. Ive been duped by 'rumors' before and jumped to conclusions too quickly. To those that bought into the rumors, try to use this as a learning experience. There's no shame in admitting you were wrong, and taking steps to better your judgement in the future.

While the "rumors" that were circulating were completely unsubstantiated speculation, it seems pretty clear both from Perry's apology, and the fact that Chicago terminated his contract (rather than his entering the Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program, especially since he is apparently receiving treatment), that there is something else going on besides alcohol problems.

While I’m sure all those rumors were false, we don’t know what he did. They didn’t terminate his contract because he has a substance abuse problem. There was something he did, that he is now presumably linking to his substance problem.
 
ICYMI, Tristan Jarry faced 41 SOG (to the Pens 17 shots for), and scored an ENG vs. Tampa last night in their 4-2 win. Not a Pens fan, per se, but always cool to see a goalie score.

Also, didn't Perry take a year off or some other long stint, a handful of years ago, for alcoholism treatment? It was someone from the Ducks / Sens, and it was pretty bad meaning it really had a grip on his life, not just his job / hockey career.
