Wtf, that's sad to hear. Adam was one of the prospects I actually had hopes for, we used to joke his bones were like bird bones etc etc, but he was fast and showed some promise.
That's just tragic, you always wonder when stuff like this will happen and hope it never does given how skates come up and clip players, but for it to lead to a death is just sad.
A bloke in our rec league team group chat, knowing I am a diehard Pens fan (unfortunately), sent me a tweet of the clip where he gets hit. The sick feeling in the pit of my stomach immediately hit me just seeing the stupid link show the still image, just knowing what this clip led to just makes me not want to see it no matter what, I don't want to click it at all.

It’s on par with the Malarchuk accident, but worse because the end result. I’m guessing that because a death happened that nhl and other leagues will push for neck guards like the mesh due to the fan killed in stands from being struck with a puck over glass.
