Well, who knew coaching hockey could be so simple?

"So, if I've got two guys coming..."
"Make your reads"
"But, what if..."
"Make. Your. Reads"
"B..."
"Hey, what did I say?"

This should be fun to watch.
I feel like you came to a conclusion to what he was saying without fully listening to what he said, because that doesn't really fit with what he said at all.

Name an impact player since the Jets have entered the League that Montreal has drafted and developed
Impact?...yikes. Here's picks with 300 games or more:

2011 Nathan Beaulieu 414 career games - 225 as a Hab
2012 Alex Galchenyuk 611 career games - 418 as a Hab
2013 Arturri Lehkonen 383 career games - all as a Hab
2016 Mikhail Sergachev 328 career games - 4 as a Hab

That's it. I suppose Alex Galchenyuk was an impact player for a short time, he did score 30 with Montreal one year.

Looks like the cap shenanigans with Vegas are about to begin.

Stone on LTIR as his wonky back is preventing him from playing and his 6 specialists don't know what is going on.. but he will magically be ready and healthy come the start of the playoffs. I mean he just partook in the Allstar game a week and a half ago. The league can't seem to help themselves with how much of a joke they look like for allowing this stuff to keep happening.

Jack to debute Wednesday.
Infuriating. Reason #14,764 why Bettman is a clown.

Eichel playing Wednesday as Stone goes on LTIR today for an undiagnosable back problem

Stone'll be back game 1.
The NHL really needs to have a rule in place that teams need to be cap compliant for the playoffs. Of course it will never happen, since competitive integrity is far down the importance scale for both the NHL and the NHLPA.

Yea its would be embarrassing if the league had a shred of pride but they don’t. Yotes are playing in a high school gym for 5 years and they still won’t be able to sell it out. Cap…..what’s a cap?? Last season the lighting work around the Cap and win the cup but hey, at least Kuch was injured and got surgery. Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, the whacky owner in f*** Vegas just outright cheats in a who gives a shit fashion to avoid the Cap.

What a gong show.

Flames are looking solid, all they needed was a washed up old school coach
And they just added a top 6 RW. Guess any thought of Scheifele for Zary + is out of consideration (not that it was actually in consideration).

Can someone explain to me how they ever got the approval to play there? Like, what’s the NHL’s reasoning?

I don’t want to play that card but I just can’t help but to feel that if this were another team this would not be acceptable.

Let's just say something happened to the Canada Life Centre, I don't know, something mechanical that forced the team to play out of say the Keystone Centre in Brandon or the arena in Selkirk for 1 or 2 seasons. I guarantee you that within a week of TNSE announcing this issue, Bettman would be phoning up the moving company and have the team going south, to anywhere.

Arizona would be allowed to play in a parking lot as long as they could make ice.

I'll always remember and never forget what Bettman said when we got the Jets back "Let's face it, if the MTS Center isn't full this will never work here" . 15,000 plus people and it will never work if it's not full, ok Gary you little gerbil.

I expect they would move temporarily to Saskatoon or possibly Quebec. Of course, with the latter they might just decide to stay. On the plus side, we know Chevy would be fired. He can't speak French.

Wonder how they will spin a three quarter full arena next year, even the arena now only gets full when the original six fans show up for their teams

Not so sure about that, cap space is super premium right now.

Flames had the room and will have it next year. This wouldn't even have happened this soon if cap had been a worry for Flames. That said, every team always wants as much cap space as possible. But Habs are doing this to free up space for their rebuild. Why would they retain?

LMAO! That looks like the Winnipeg Ice arena.

The crazy thing is they send that tweet out like it is an accomplishment and something to be proud of. They probably got media consulting from Paul Maurice before that one - remember the one about how long losing streaks continue to bring significant benefit to the Winnipeg Jets? Almost as stupidly ridiculous as this Coyotes PR tweet.
