Hynes wasn’t impressive in NJ or Nashville so it’s no surprise that Minnesota now wants him.

It would be terrible being a Wild fan. Just a team that is never going anywhere.

I love it lol.

The Sens and Panthers are fun teams, mainly because of the Tkachuk bros. Love their craziness.

Clock is ticking on DJ Smith to be the next coach fired though. I’m expecting to see that any day now.

The Sens are one of my biggest disappointments of the season. I was excited to see them progress as I liked the brand of hockey they played last season. They played with fire, a stark contrast to the way the Blues were playing.

There's no way DJ Smith survives another two weeks behind the bench. That was pink-slip-worthy game if I've ever seen one. He may get one more game for that team to bounce back but for a team that says they want to play for DJ Smith, they sure don't show any fire to helping him keep his job. If they showed the hunger to play hockey like they do to mix it up after the whistle they wouldn't be in the basement of the Atlantic.

I do think it's interesting that a team that added a few players who have had their effort questioned at times, namely Tarasenko and Kubalik, along with adding several offense-focused D-men, are all of the sudden looking pretty lazy in defensive coverage.

As a Blues fan the Sens winding up in the basement could provide opportunity to swoop in and pluck a quality player from a team looking for a "culture change." Wouldn't mind Chabot or Chychrun on our blueline. Obviously Sanderson or Zub as well but that's not going to happen. Those Ottawa winters are going to feel extra cold for Brady Tkachuk if the Sens continue to struggle. Might a trade request be on the horizon in a few seasons? I can think of one particular fan base that would give him a heroes welcome.

There goes Mr. Taxi to Chicago. 2.75mill. $ and 1-year deal.

Interesting group on Detroit. Old Blues and few Chicago players.

Looks like the Hawks have put Perry on Waivers for engaging in conduct that is unacceptable

I admittedly haven't watched much of the Wild this year, but all the numbers sure do suggest that the goalies just got the coach fired.

In all situations, Minnesota is 8th in expected goals against per 60, 13th in scoring chances against per 60, and 11th in high danger chances against per 60. But they have the 3rd worst SV% in the league and are thus 2nd worst in goals against per 60. These metrics aren't perfect and the eye test (that I just don't have with them) could tell a somewhat different story, but you just can't win much in this league when your goalies have a combined .878 SV% through 20 games.

I've been low on the Wild since before the season started and not buying into Gustavsson as a Vezina-caliber goalie was a big reason why. But I didn't expect it to be this bad. Unless the goalies improve ASAP, the hole could be too deep by the time Hynes gets a new system up and running to try and better insulate the goalies.

Hopefully we don't toss them a flotation devise tonight.

The rumor is he engaged in some activities with Bedard’s mom supposedly…
Who wouldnt?

It has been days since Perry mysteriously left the team and I still haven't seen any remotely credible rumor/leak/speculation about what happened.

This is definitely not the ending I expected. They wildly overpaid him specifically for his off-ice contributions. The entire point of the signing was to teach a young team how to be good pros and to prevent a losing culture from permeating a clearly bad roster. Perry was a very well respected player around NHL organizations. What a turn.

That’s what happened in Edmonton too.
