CHI is 4th in Central & likely gonna duke it out w/CBJ & DAL, though none of them are a clear favorite between them. If the NHL was in "normal" divisions/year, CHI would be out (5th by a slim margin over 6th etc.)


I like the thought of CHI making the playoffs & then bounced/swept in Rd.1, so they have no shot at 1OA. Let them stay in perpetual mediocrity.

They are concentrating on Vegas - Colorado game and Nieminen is praising Avs defencemen through the roof, how they play like Detroit Red Wings played for ~15 years during their prime (1995-2009). He did see many things from Avs current system, how Wings played against him at on that Glory era.

Like, that style has been off for years, but it has come back.

I think he finishes w/ ~88O. @724 w/22 more to go this year...assuming .5gpg that's another 11g. He's been on a tear this year (.6 gpg) , especially lately, but he'll cool off, injuries to linemates etc, team cools off, TDL changes competition, roster changes & the final push for playoff points all factor in.

So age 36-37 season: starts w/735g imo +40g
37-38: 775 +40g
38-39: 815 +35g <----------this is where the team starts to look old.
39-40: 850 +30g = 880G

I see him returning to play in Russia for 1-2+ seasons, win the KHL Cup
a la Datsyuk & retire.
