Its amazing to me how teams lineup to help Pittsburgh

Every year

I don't really see how this is Buffalo doing Pittsburgh a favor. People think (which is crazy IMO) Sheary could get a 2nd on his own. Hunwick's deal isn't an anchor or anything but he's a 7th defenseman at this point.

Doc blows.

Gord Miller>>>>>Doc

I generally enjoy Gord calling a game over Doc but Doc's calls in the big moments like OT playoff goals and that are pretty legendary and nostalgic.

Ya that's a great trade for Buffalo that has a real chance of being a steal. Guys like him there's always gonna be a question whether or not he's being carried but frankly there was no Crosby or Malkin to carry him on the baby pens. He's got some actual skills and with how little depth the Sabres have he absolutely has a chance to be "carried" again in a scoring role next to Eichel or O'Reilly

All day I thought it was Sheahan who the Penguins traded and I thought everyone was overreacting about how bad that deal was. Now I realize it’s Sheary. And yes it is that bad.

Yikes what Trouba is reportedly asking for. 8 million per lol. Can we just lock up Skjei now please?!

IF Tavares wants to win,he needs to leave the Islanders. Go to TB. That was a rumored destination last summer. Tampa can get him for less with the no state income tax in Florida. TB wins the Cup next season and the Rangers get their 1st next June.
Unfortunately, they needed to win this year and lost in ECF. If they win next year what do we get the 31st pick?
I would rather them fall flat on their face somehow and get the 35th-48th range pick.

With the Pens' luck, Jack Johnson will have a career year.

I actually like the Kunitz coming here theory. Definitely fits the team's intention of getting character players with pedigree.

Just got a bleacher report notification that the Sharks are JT's top choice if he doesn't reisgn with the Isels

Yeesh. If true and Couture is signing a $8m a year extension they'd have JT, Couture, Kane, Burns and Vlasic on long-term $7m+ deals, with Pavelski out of contract after next season...

Trouba has to be the most overrated player in the league Jesus
Hey man he might eventually maybe turn into possibly a 1st pairing defenseman. He only needs 8 more years of development.

I’ve been saying since we were linked to him a couple years ago that he’s no better than skjei. People just shat themselves because he’s right handed
