Just being hypothetical†, but if the NHL dissolved the Oilers temporarily and did a dispersal draft, imagine the quality of the league!

Then the Oilers could come back as an "expansion".

Maybe the coaching should have done a better job at developing those supporting players in edmonton rather than just trying to ride on the back of mcdavid and to lesser extent Draisaitl. Guys like Nurse, Klefbom and Larsson. Guys they traded away like Hall and Eberle. Pretty much All high picks. Not showing much development and progression

Galchenyuk might be at a low point in terms of perceived value, but do you really think Mtl does Vesey For Galchenyuk? Would you trade Miller for a guy like Charles Hudon, for example?

I meant a real trade assuming other teams and GMs wouldn't even piss on MSG if it were engulfed in flames and everyone aside from their team and loved ones were inside.

Their GM is Bergevin.

He gets to trade a "troubled" "russian" player for a gritty, karakter American.

I mean grats to him on the goal, but, to be honest, I would run him so hard after that celebration if I were on the other team.

I mean I got mad respect for goalies, but doing a "come at me bro" after scoring when wearing slightly more armor than needed to do HAZMAT removal, makes me see red.
