Perlini just pwned Vegas.

Yup....agreed....saw that as well.

On a somewhat related note, our old friend Derek Stepan has two assists tonight. Some in here thought Gorton should NEVER EVER have dealt Steps despite getting back the #7 overall pick which turned out to obviously be Lias Andersson and DeAngelo and the cap space to sign Shatty, because it left a void at the #1 center slot(I still maintain as much as I loved Steps, he was never a true #1 center), heading into tonight's game was on pace for a scintillating 9 goals and 32 assists for 41 points.

That is not a missprint folks. I realize he's on Arizona but those are some pretty horrid #'s for a supposed #1 center according to some peeps in here...lol

Ummmm.....call me nuts but I think things turned out pretty good for us...ya think?

Anaheim's broadcast team is so goddamn boring.

I hear ya Auf. I'm not so critical as you are about them seeing I've had the NHL Center Ice Package ever since I moved to the Philly area from Rockland County(New City) where I lived for 30 years, so I could get my beloved Ranger broadcasts. So I'm used to their analyist Brian Hayward and I kind of like him.

But the play by play buy tho is pretty blah and so I could see why maybe you or anyone could think they are sort of boring.

Let's face it tho, we are pretty spoiled here in NY as we have had some pretty awesome play by play guys, whether it's TV or radio ranging from the great Jim Gordon, Marv Albert and Sam and analysts from the "Big Whistle" Bill Chadwick, Sal Messina, "JD" John Davidson and even Joe Micheletti who I probably like more than most in here.

So that said, pretty much any announcer crew other than ours pales in comparison for the most part....

Where would the Rangers be in the standings if they weren't 8-2 in their last 10?

15 home games. The Rangers will play 24 home games before the New Year.

Yyeah, the speculation goes both ways. Can't just say "what if they weren't winning a lot?" without also having "what if they didn't lose a lot?"

I am confused to what this team will do this season. Will they be contending or rebuilding? Sellers or Buyers at the deadline. I think this team is on the fence right now. If Lundqvist continues this play as of late or even close to it, and all the little things come to together I don’t see why they won;t make a run this year. Which means they keep Nash, and maybe even try and buy during the TDL. Well it’s only one quarter into the season, still so much to play.

Look at stepans two assists.. lol

Remember how he used to collect points and no one knew how?
1st assist he barely passed up the boards to OEL who got a wrister through from the blue line
2nd assist he did nothing perlini just skated near him so he picked up an assist lol

The often-injured Carey Price beat Buffalo last night. Headline on TSN as if he's the greatest goaltender in the world who just accomplished an amazing feat of impossibility. That guy must have a really good press agent. Give it 10 games, he'll be hurt again.

I think generally we're in a stay-the-course type of season. They're not going to be averse to making moves for the future, but won't necessarily be seeking them out either.

So basically not hit the "blow it up" type button? Yeah I don't see this team being gutted now or making several big time moves think what happened this past off season was pretty much the big moves for now but anything can happen.

I saw some sensationalist headline on NHL network about Price's "uplifting performance" or some such thing, and was wondering what that was about. Thought I missed something.

Turns out that he shut out the ONLY team in the league that scores less goals than the Canadiens.

The Atlantic outside of Toronto and Tampa is trash
