I was already happy with how we played tonight, but I changed right over before the AZ game...couldn't look away

Go Rangers!!
I missed tonight's game, which really hurt me (first opening game that I have missed in decades). The only place to comment is here.
It will be a great season :)

Soooooooooo...uh...when is Vegas going to finalize their roster and bring Ship back up? I imagine a bunch of people are placed on waivers today and he'll be recalled.

Whoa Pitt gave up 10 goals? Did they trade to get Fleury back?

When you play like shit for 4 seasons, but end up get a promotion to another team by playing next to a Norris candidate.

oh boy, it cannot be.. How? I`m so confused.. Is this accurate journalism G back with top pair minutes? o_O

I think it's because Dotchin has been in the doghouse, he violated some team rule, which never came out to what he did. So normally Dotchin would be with Hedman.
Anyway, I thought Girardi had a good preseason, but he had limited mins.

Now he's shilling muh window muh Lundqvist is old as if we'll never have another goaltender.

I can't continue this.

Yes, I regret not getting a better return for Talbot, but this is silly.

Im late to the party but did vegas really send Shipachyov to the minors?
Basically they didn't want to lose any of their (shitty) defenseman on waivers, and they thought they'd be able to trade some of them before opening night. But it turns out no one wants Vegas' leftover defenseman, to no ones surprise but George Mac Fee.

oo he must not be very happy

The Vegas situation irritates me. The expansion draft was set up to be very Vegas friendly so that they could be competitive as soon as possible, but LVGK just made a bunch of deals to stockpile picks and select inferior players.

Now they've got a league-worst roster, are likely going to tank the season, and are unable to play their top center because they are trying so hard to squeeze out just a few more picks out of marginal players.

NHL might as well have just given LVGK 3 picks each round the next 3 drafts and have them start playing hockey after that.

Not to mention that if you want a team to have success in expansion, it might help that they have a competent General Manager.

Oscar Lindberg will hopefully play tonight - I`ll be fun to watch Vegas playing in NHL, good luck! :)

McPhee had the advantage back at the expansion draft where he was able to swing some deals with teams in return for not picking certain unprotected players. Now maybe those NHL GMs who had to deal with that aren't so eager to help him unload a bunch of mediocre defensemen.
