Around The NHL #13

Jets were a big part of Winnipeg's identity. Lots of emotion wrapped up in their departure and return. Brought out the worst in some folks.

The original Michigan scorer learned the technique from Bill Armstrong!!!!!!

*Not that Bill Armstrong

Already been clips of him slamming his stick on the boards in a tantrum.
If that was a Coyote rookie we would be saying it's showing "emotion and dedication." I would love to have a Bedard on our team, and he could slam his stick on the boards as often and he wanted. A tantrum?

Does this beg the question, will Bedard be a little bitch, ala Zegras?
I would take both players on the Coyote's in a second.

They more or less say they’d take a 2nd + 3rd package. Which is exactly what I’ve been offering.
I didn't listen to it, but thought the transcript said something about there being a possible scenario that would return a 1st round pick....a dream scenario?

Yes. They looked at a bunch of comps and found only one that face them a glimmer of hope for a 1st. McCabe and Lafferty for a 1st. They talked to a bunch of NHL scouts and most said a 2nd or 3rd. The hosts wanted a 1st.

McCabe came with 50% retention as well

Sabres have sort of been out partners through this rebuild. Similar period. Crazy long. One key difference is that the Sabres won two lotteries and got Eichel as a consolation prize.

Anyways, the Coyotes are now holding a wild card spot and Sabres are 6th worst in the league. So what did the Sabres do wrong? Why do they still suck?
