Probably a combination of a few things. I do think Tocchet has improved as a coach, as many coaches do from their first gig to their second.

Demko returning to form has been huge.
Their top players are playing like top players should.
I also think Foote/Gonchar deserve a lot of credit for how well their defense has been playing this year.

In listening to him, it sounds like he may be delegating more…. Give him credit, he was smart enough to know he’s not very good!

They've had a ton of talent and depth for the past few years but lack of cohesiveness has been the problem.
Since PLD was replaced and Scheifele and Hellebuyck committed and Lowry became captain, the players have gelled.

Hard for me not to hate the jets. On the one hand, our Yotes fans that followed the team from Winnipeg are some of our best fans. But the Winnipeggers who we dealt with online before they got the Thrashers were unbearable.
