Uncle Gary is doing just fine. The buck stops with him, but I would bet someone else was taking care of this Pride bullshit.Between this and the Pride tape and a bunch of other issues lately, it’s difficult to keep confidence in Uncle Gary despite so many years as a staunch supporter.
Not a good look to be walking a guy through a nearly $1 billion team sale and not even mention to him that there are 2 investigations ongoing that will have an effect on his new purchase. And that Owner said as much publicly today.Uncle Gary is doing just fine. The buck stops with him, but I would bet someone else was taking care of this Pride bullshit.

Now I'm finding THAT a bit skeptical. Not a good look to be walking a guy through a nearly $1 billion team sale and not even mention to him that there are 2 investigations ongoing that will have an effect on his new purchase. And that Owner said as much publicly today.
He put it out there so should be easy for NHL to dispute it.Now I'm finding THAT a bit skeptical.

Who should he ask? The 3rd tweet clearly says he was not informed by NHL....which was my assertion. Then I have to question his abliity to due his due diligence.... If I'm trading in Fort Knox for a hockey team I'm not going to rely just on the seller to tell me everything I should know.
Well, the new owner of hte Sens is unimpressed. he wonders why nothing was disclosed that the team and a player on the team were under investigation while he was exploring purchasing the team. That's what I recall. I was listening to 32 Thoughts yesterday and Elliotte was saying the league would go easy on Ottawa because of new ownership. Why did Meruelo get a hammer to the head when he was unaware of Chayka's behavior?
Who should he ask? The 3rd tweet clearly says he was not informed by NHL....which was my assertion.
So no one other than NHL??? The same group he has publicly accused of not informing him of the investigations? Back where we started I guess. Don't you think it should have been part of NHL's discovery to potential Owner to disclose ongoing investigation? Because Andlauer sure did.Being he was a part owner of another NHL franchise he should have already been aware of the investigation and could have asked the NHL directly what the potential outcomes of their investgation could be.
My assertion is he could have looked deeper into it himself and realized the possibility of the outcome he got.
The league did give him a choice of which year he could lose the 1st round pick. So the league was acting sympathic towards him being the new owner.
I don't follow the Sen's so I don't really know what happen before, during and after the sale. I don't see how something like that could be overlooked when doing due diligence when buying a business of this magnitude. I would think the NHL stays out of the sale process until they have agreed upon a price. It's the Sen's I would think should divulge such information. Maybe Dorian held back this information and that is why he is fired. Not a good look to be walking a guy through a nearly $1 billion team sale and not even mention to him that there are 2 investigations ongoing that will have an effect on his new purchase. When you have to approve the buyer I don't think you get to just play dumb on disclosure. And neither does NHL Partner AndlauerI don't follow the Sen's so I don't really know what happen before, during and after the sale. Could very well be the Sens misled the league during the investigation from what I’ve seen lately. When you have to approve the buyer I don't think you get to just play dumb on disclosure. And neither does NHL Partner Andlauer
Easier again why isn't it registered at central registry with the contract. When you make trade call the League takes one looks and says no. His Agent did speak up, the trade was voided. Why isn’t the list of no trade teams stapled to the contract?
When he was traded to a team on that list, why didn’t his agent speak up?
It should have been mentioned, but by who is the question. The NHL does not own the franchise so I would think they have no obligation to be involved until it comes to vet the buyer. Legally, their hands may have been tied. Who knows and I really don't care. When you have to approve the buyer I don't think you get to just play dumb on disclosure. I think you previously owned a Franchise. Imagine after doing the transaction with the Master Franchisor you get the news that there is a litigation that they have known about for months yet failed to disclose to you. Now further that and get tge news it's actually them that is about to pass a judgement down to you despite not mentioning it while approval was being granted. Hello due diligence. I think all parties are to blame here, but again, we are looking from the outside in.I think you previously owned a Franchise. How can you do due diligence when the only people who have the answer don't tell you? Just stop and think for a second, the League had 2 investigations going on and according to Andlauer he was not informed of either. Does it sound like Andlauer or the NHL are in the wrong in that scenario? There's no all parties are to blame hereHello due diligence. Well, if you knew the Senators had two investigations going on, so should Andlaure. Buyer beware. I'm sure Andlauer will be just fine. How can you do due diligence when the only people who have the answer don't tell you?
