This games is a reminder I absolutley did not want Chaka to draft Quinn Hughes because I was certain his game would not translate to the NHL - hence my opinions on any player should be much healthy skepticism.

This game is also evidence a team can turn it around in one season with a few good trades. For all their wowes the past couple seasons, the Canucks look dang good. And not a lot of name players.

I loved Quinn Hughes in his draft year. My “favorite” player in the draft. Then again, I would’ve been quite happy with Zadina also. Shows what I know. Lol.

Why isn’t the list of no trade teams stapled to the contract?

When he was traded to a team on that list, why didn’t his agent speak up?

I know, it's wild. I'm more organized as t my HFW desk. I can't believe I care or am asking, but does the NHL not use Salesforce?

Easier again why isn't it registered at central registry with the contract. When you make trade call the League takes one looks and says no. His Agent did speak up, the trade was voided.

It's mind blowing.

Can you imagine if we had Quinn? Our center depth could be horrific now. But better yet, what are the chances Quinn found half the success he has had here over VAN. Reminds me of the idea of taking Marner over Strome. Would Marner have hit 60 points in the 2016-2020 rosters? Not sure especially the early years.

Dobson has been great. He's a better Moser...for now. Kind of insane we got a similar player about an entire round later.

So i looked it up and i have to say that the sharks have to be possessed by the 71 golden seals.
Because they were also bad. like really bad.
1:12 vs the rangers bad.
And even back then the seals did not manage to get scored on 10 times in two following games.
In 71 they had 2 games with 10 or more goals against.

This team would be bad in the 70s. The freaking 70s.

By the way. The seals are Part of the sharks. Because the Team moved to Cleveland became the abrons. And then merged with the north Stars. And that got seperated into Dallas and the sharks.

I doubt that very much, but here is hoping. My family won't answer my texts when I'm rubbing it in. Well, that's not true, only my nephew does, but he has a sense of humor.

They should’ve fired him no less than two years ago.

Let's be honest here. That roster is pretty damn good, and who thought Campbell would shit the bed along with Skinner. Campbell is 59th is SV% and Skinner is 63rd. We have Ingram at 19th and Veggie 34th, with our sorry D. Holland has gotten himself in a pickle that's for sure. A M-NTC for Campbell is crazy, and no team will want him even if he waived, and Skinner, I don't see anyone wanting him. I think their D is better than ours, but not SC good. Let's see what happens.

Oilers believed they were Stanley Cup favourites heading in to the season. Missing the playoffs is simply not an option. Goalie tandem is the worst in the NHL. D group is bad. Depth scoring is bad. And McDavid is playing hurt so hasnt been carrying the team (he is only scoring at ppg pace and the powerplay is just good not otherworldly).

I still think McDavid and Draisatl will go on a tear and the team will have a 10 game win streak...but it better happen soon or they will have to make big changes.

When your goalies can't stop a beach ball you are in trouble. I really hope they turn it around because I don't want them to have a better draft pick than us.
