I am so sorry to hear that.My experience was different.I am a pediatrician and when I had a very sick kid I usually wrote to some Czech NHL player and they usually send some small gift.Some 25+ years ago I was practicing pediatrics in South Carolina and I had this kid with really bad heart (he eventually needed heart transplant).I wrote letter to Penguins and ask Jaromir Jagr to send this kid something.Soon after that I got original signed #68 jersey.I was so tempted just to frame it and put it on the wall but i would feel really bad.So I gave the jersey to this kid's family.Few months later older brother came for well visit and was wearing Jagr's jersey....completely ruined.I was horrified and ask them :"Would you treat Payton Manning's jersey like that?'They looked me like I am crazy and said "of course not".That was before Hurricanes won a Stanley Cup so I think things are different now

From my understanding there was the NHLPA and the league negotiated the suspension and that Pinto was giving information to another party to bet on games. ALSO the Sens rescinded their offer so Pinto only has the qualifying offer and must accept it if he wants to play this season. That's over a $Million he lost out on for his stupidity. Don't think he came close to that amount in winnings...

Friedman was speculating that it was proxy gambling. Which is not permitted in most places. He also said when you set up legal accounts, which Pinto did, it triggers a closer look by gambling site as a Professional Athlete. They watched his account and then advised NHL of issues

He did not say proxy, he said someone was using his app. Proxy implies he was betting for Pinto,.... which is possibly the case, but no one seems to know if that's indeed the case. You are correct in the rest of your account.
Anyway, Schemp heard it from the hockey guy, as per above.

Maybe I'm messing up Reporters and terms?? But proxy betting has been mentioned by a few and they referred to it as someone else using your account?

Edit: nevermind Friedman refers to it as proxy betting just past the 9 minute mark on today's 32 Thoughts

I'm impatient, thinking about this season. Would expect GMBA prioritizing signing dmen in the off-season for obvious reasons. With Voracek and Little coming off the books (as well as everyone on our defense).

It's a negotiated settlement. I doubt either side wanted it in Court so everyone gives a little. And he might have signed while investigation was going on if he wasn't negotiating this deal?
