One thing I deeply appreciated is that Dermott reported in an interview with The Athletic that the Coyotes immediately and wholeheartedly backed him on his decision, and that also the Coyotes are going to be the first franchise this season to hold a Pride night.
Between that and their other diversity initiatives that Meruelo and Gutierrez are spearheading, I actually feel proud of the franchise's ownership for the first time in a long, long time.
