No, sign the contract. His path to the NHL will be through the Coyotes. He has no value in a trade and BA must see something in him to qualify him. Not sure of the rules but can the Coyote's even trade him with no contract? I feel for the kid because I think he deserved more of a chance last year than two games. Let him stay there then. I was in the boat that he wouldn’t sign an extension in Toronto and come here. Now that he has chosen to stay, time to move on. I don’t want AM at that point in his career. He will be 30 once that contract expires. We always get players at the wrong end.

I would have loved AM here next year as a free agent, but I don't think he is worth that contract, even with the cap going up. Having said that, AM I believe is tenth in points since coming into the league. In the same amount of time, MacKinnon was fifth and singed and new deal last year for $12.6. TO had no choice but to sign him.

I heard on Overdrive yesterday that Matthews is first in goals since arrival, no idea if factual as that show is not exactly the place for facts. More entertainment than substance

Over the cap by almost $3M, Nylander has a 10 team NTC, questionable goaltending, just gave the prima donna a contract, teams are pretty much set with their rosters, Nylander won't have his heart in it and wants to stay healthy,and no team will give them a decent return. Not for an expiring contract.

You want to make a bet? I would think that whoever trades for Nylander has an extension in hand. Nylander is a career 0.83 PPG player, and you think TO will accept left overs, cold ones that you have suggested? Keller is a 0.77 PPG. Would you trade Keller for that crap you suggested?
