Around the NHL 11 - 2023/24

Some like Anaheim and Detroit have shown progress this year. But it's as Chipman said, you are looking at a munnimum of 5 years but it could be much longer.

The Jets are building the same way they built towards 17-18. We just have a higher base level then we had back then as well as a Vezina goalie to build on. We will continue to integrate young players over the next few years and see if we can have a Dallas like transition.

Ottawa is well past rebuilding - they just have a crappy coach... Buffalo needs a goalie

There's no planet where Chevy had an asset like Karlsson and he trades him for less cap space and a protected pick. That's why san jose is not a good example of a rebuild...

There are 5 million reasons per season why Campbell is still playing in the NHL.

That and Skinner hasn't done much better.

Coilers are out of options in net.

Horribly mismanaged franchise. And to think all the "experts" in media had them not just a Cup contenders but Cup FAVOURITES for this season!

The media is just pushing the McDavid and Draisaitl narrative with zero regard for anyone else on that team. I mean, they *might* gel as a team at some point, but there it is.

Folks talk about Nurse, but it really does not help them that many of their vets aside from McD and Drai are quite average in the leadership role.

Why do we get stuck with the Oilers home feed? This game has been unbearably listening to these two clowns … and the Oilers aren’t even playing well!

Kanes ex wife needs help, but Imagine the DMs she sends McDavid and teammates if this is what she's publicly tweeting @mcdavid... You cant tell me Kane's Baggage isnt a locker room distraction..

Oilers knew what they were bringing in, and they didnt care how cancerous it was.. as long as it scored goals..

This post goes out to all the Edmonton fans that told me Kane just didnt want to be in a racist city.

Wish i didnt have to say this, but i told you this guy's history would be a distraction.

I just checked the schedule and it's a shame that the Jets don't play any of the teams that are really spiraling right now (Oilers, Sharks, Flames) anytime soon. Would've been nice to lock in a few points while they are in their current state as sure they will have stabilized the ship by the time we play them in a few weeks.

Yeah I remember that “Winnipeg is the most racist city in Canada” rhetoric, based entirely on Kane, a MacLeans article that’s a master class in bad analysis, and a sports radio host saying we were racist for booing Subban in the playoffs (and that the seven years prior of us booing EVERY team’s star player “didn’t count”).

Meanwhile, Alberta remains second in hate crime per capita and Edmonton right up there with Calgary in major metro area hate crime per capita while we’re bottom quintile, but hey, at least there are more casinos in Alberta sooooo hope ya happy Kaner and Oilers fans, y’all deserve each other.

They’re certainly not bad but at some point during this game their PDO hit 1.200 so I’m kinda worried they’ll take a step back soon. Glad it wasn’t tonight though :P

Canucks are on an all timer as far as PDO goes. I remember a few seasons back this happened to the Preds when the three guys on their top line averaged 20% in shooting and they all had career years.

Quinn Hughes on pace for 140 points so I assume he will cool off a bit but all joking aside could he hit 100 this season? Demko rocking the .948 save %.

The Canucks are the antithesis of the Jets right now. Unsustainable shooting percentage, everything going in, riding the highest of confidence. Demko is a very good goaltender but he'll come back to earth.

Once their confidence falters, they will regress to where they should be, a team fighting for a playoff spot.

Perhaps Kane has turned his life around, but that shit follows you around for a long time. I have no doubt that he is still part of the problem in Edm......even if indirectly.
