Only reason to do this would be to retire his number.... I guess?? Could anyone actually see him playing?
I'll say this about Dubas... There is madness to his method.

I'm sure it is. You get as many snowbirds showing up to watch their team as you can market to, and you have hockey fans organize winter getaways around watching their team play in the desert. Problem is the Yotes aren't as good at this due to arena issues. The Florida and LA road trips work much better for this.
This is the internet... you don't have to know anything to have an opinion!
Nothing wrong with differing opinions as long as both sides can be heard. This is the internet... you don't have to know anything to have an opinion!
Winnipeg Enterprises was a joke, how could any team survive when they were taking all of the money from food and booze and parking. I wouldn't have wanted to own the Jets under those circumstances either. Also, there were two different franchises who went out of their way to help the Jets. Sent years of all private financial details from their clubs regarding revenue streams, expenses, marketing, salaries, etc, etc to help the Jets to see if they were missing out on something or had really bad structure that could be changed to assist. The league tried to fix what was broken. The arena owned by WEC was the major problem. I have seen these binders. There were about 12 different site and size proposals reviewed for a new facility as well to get the ownership of the building into club hands.
Again, the all mighty dollar came into play.
Not sure if I'm allowed to disclose the two current franchises who reached out to help, so will keep that to myself as well at this time.

Not to mention they got totally demonized by the fans for trying to keep the team in Winnipeg. Especially considering anyone with any business acumen wouldn't be anywhere near that task. They were doing it for love of the team and city.Such a different era. Winnipeg gets a pro hockey team back in the WHA and there are no luxury boxes, no upper deck, no parking, concessions etc etc. They basically rent a public facility to run a professional hockey club. Fast forward and they end up in the NHL and slowly the business model changes and without a salary cap and new arena deal the ownership group were in over their heads.
I look back at those old videos and those must of been very trying times on the owners trying to get a deal together to keep the team in Winnipeg.
I myself have never had a client have their employment impacted by an out-of-court settlement. However, I have also never represented anyone in a case even remotely as high profile as this one. Of course, from a legal perspective, profile shouldn't matter, but practically it just doesn't come up unless it's plastered all over the news.

Interesting how a similar scenario just played out with the Ice

It's funny i never blamed our owner i blamed the greed of the players for wanting so much money to play a game. That's why when we lost the Jets i stopped watching all NHL hockey basically until we got the Jets back. Not to mention they got totally demonized by the fans for trying to keep the team in Winnipeg. Me three, as soon as the Jets 1.0 left for Phoenix, I stopped watching hockey. The Jets were my team and I couldn't support any other. It was sheer joy when we got a team back, and now you are all stuck with me in this forum...I stopped watching the NHL too. I think I tuned in to the occasional playoff game but I just switched to English Football and Really enjoyed it.
Even worse I became a Leafs fanMe three, as soon as the Jets 1.0 left for Phoenix, I stopped watching hockey. The Jets were my team and I couldn't support any other. It was sheer joy when we got a team back, and now you are all stuck with me in this forum...![]()

"After 15 full NHL seasons I have decided to retire from the best league in the world," Krejci said. "I have been very lucky to be on so many good teams and play with so many great players."
They don't have many exciting prospects that fit the Jets needsTheir centreman depth is now officially ass. Time to step up to the plate and trade for Scheifele!
