Calgary thought they were so close a few years ago but keeping Johnny Hockey and not getting any assets for him looks like it had a spiraling effect on them, they really didn't need Kadri and were forced to trade Tkachuk. Looks now that they are going to trade Tanev and Hanifin after trading Zadorov and now Lindholm. Major reset coming in Calgary.
That's what poor panic buying looks like

The league has let this go on way to long and should never of allowed them to play in that arena without concrete plans and deadlines to build a new arena.

The fact that they weren't relocated after a year when shovels weren't in the ground should scare any prospective expansion owners far away.

Imagine if Atlanta gets a team before the Coyote’s situation is resolved. That was be something.

Has there been any news about the size of the new arena that was proposed? I haven't kept up with that arena story.

I thought the Tempe deal was dead and the Coyotes were back to looking at going back to Phoenix

That's what I'd heard as well. It was either going back to Phoenix proper or so far outside city limits that it was basically just Glendale again.

Unless the basketball owners don't want them in their building going back to the Footprint Center, and people laugh at our Stadium being called Princess Auto, it's been renovated and surely they can get more support in Phoenix than Tempe

I wouldn't be surprised if the market is tainted for at least a generation or two. It'd take a very ambitious plan to fix that team's issues and they seem content with just keeping it on life support forever rather than actually fixing it.

NHL just shoots itself in foot by keeping them there, move them to Houston if the owner of the basketball team still wants a team, the revenue generated by that market would be huge as compared Arizona where nobody watches on tv or listens on the radio.

Saw something, I think on the Business forum, saying 18,500. Someone said it’s the same group that built the new arena in EDM.
