I thought the Tempe deal was dead and the Coyotes were back to looking at going back to Phoenix
I have heard from my butcher's son's dog walker that they are moving into the old barn in Selkirk. They're going to called the "Shiftworkers" and will be paying the Jets for infringing on the Jets' market.
About 10 lbs. of pickeral, a 24 of Blue, 20 dozen perogies and a half dozen kubasa should do it.

Saw something, I think on the Business forum, saying 18,500. Someone said it’s the same group that built the new arena in EDM.
18,700 according to this teaser from the Atlanta Journal Constitution here:

That's an ambitious development proposal. Reminds me a bit of the Glendale arena and mall, but this has more housing.

Out of curiosity, with Lindholm and Monahan now off the trade board, question for those Jets bros/sis’ who keep up with this stuff:

how does our competition in the west fare in terms of adding players? Both in central and pacific. I recall avs and oilers basically being at the cap already for example and thus are probably limited themselves, but I don’t know this for sure.

We still have cap space which is wild, and may yet add another piece (or 2) following a similar path that Chevy did in 2018

In a way by putting a 1st rounder out there, Chevy has contributed to the expected prices
Things might even escalate towards the deadline
There aren’t many C’s “obviously” available (perhaps there will be a wild swing somewhere but this isn’t a year for C depth on the market)

is this some 4D chess move by Chevy to prevent competition from getting better?

Edit: looking here NHL 2023 Cap Tracker

It seems that we are well positioned vs the competition

But I am not super knowledgeable about this area

I hope Atlanta gets the yotes, there may be opportunity to get an official record swap since we'd have eachothers old teams!

I suppose Atlanta would have to bring back the Thrashers branding for them to be interested though

Not sure if Arniel has extra info or if the CBA allows it but the way he was talking about it during the IC podcast today he sounded pretty confident that Scheifele will be back for the next game. Good news if true. Wish there was a game this weekend.
I'm assuming Arniel would be fully in the information loop on player readiness to play. I didn't catch the interview, but what was said that wouldn't be allowed under the CBA?

Agreed, I'm sure they as well as Mark are in regular contact with the medical and training staff.

I get that it is the Allstars game but Kucherov's attitude and effort last night was completely unprofessional.

There is a reason that NHL players aren't paid as much as their contemporaries, they do the bare minimum when it comes to trying to grow the sport.

Bowness said yesterday that Monahan will center Ehlers and Perfetti so that might be a little sign Scheifele is ready to go . Just me but if Scheifele was still hurt Bowness would have said Monahan will center Connor and Vilardi .

Anyone see the article where Walsh cites numerous mayor's as wanting the coyotes moved to their city... and then lists Phoenix as one of the destinations...

I am just not sure what the CBA rules are regarding club involvement in rehabbing injuries during a bye-week? Like is Scheifele working with the training staff and physio and skating? If so then what Arniel is saying means a lot more than if 55 due to CBA stipulations is not allowed to "work" and be with club staff and resources and Arniel is just assuming he'll be good to go based on original timeline and how Scheifele is feeling without the training staff in the loop.

Without looking into it I think there are no restrictions on medical care for players during breaks in season or out of season.

I took it that way as well.

Not sure if anyone is watching the NHL all star games, but that was probably the best 3 on 3 game I've seen. Guys actually trying. Team McJesus with Helly on it winning 4-3 in a shootout after tying it up with 5 seconds remaining. Helly gave up only 1 goal in his period of action.
Saw that, good showing by Helly.

They were doing it for Michael Buble
And his shrooms.

Kucherov has always been a bit of a doofus, so not too surprising.

You are probably right, the only reason I am not sure is that the CBA/NHL is really weird about this type of stuff. Leafs apparently got in trouble a couple of summers ago when they tried to have their practice facilities and rink open in the off season for any Leafs player who wishes to take advantage of them
