Actually England is quite tame compared to a lot of the other leagues in Europe. Italy and France especially can be quite extreme.

I believe you can buy alcohol in the stadiums but cannot bring it to your seat, at least in England and this was when I went to a Premier League game in 2010. I think the rest of Europe allows drinking throughout.

I was in Edmonton this summer and drove from the mall towards downtown to see the new arena and it was exactly like Winnipeg. If you put me on those streets driving down that way and didn't tell me where I was I would assume it was here.
Regarding UK football fans it definitely varies.

Now a days the racism isn't quite as rampant as it was a few decades ago, when having dark skin or wearing a turban was an open invitation to get chased in west Hampshire and have the living shit beat out of them just for breathing the same air at a stadium, even if youre cheering the same team on, but the racism can still be significant verbally, even towards elite talent like Sterling or Rashford. If elsewhere in Europe is less tame than that, then that is quite sad to hear

Regarding Edmonton, apparently it's going to be a mind numbing -64 with windchill this weekend there. People egg on Winnipeg and cold weather but the coldest canadian weather I've experienced myself has always been in Alberta. Note I have never been to the territories or ventured further north on the ground latitude wise than Edmonton

Some fanbases more than others have some racism issues definitely and social media is a hellhole. Italy and Spain I'd say are far worse for outright racism like monkey noises for the Black players.

Also the average traveling England fan is a step above the average fan going to his local club each week as far as drunken idiocy goes.

I've always said Edmonton is just a bigger Winnipeg.

Winnipeg has the old beautiful neighborhoods.

Edmonton does not

Watched the Rags/Caps game with my mother, ABC broadcast crew gave shout out to Jets for being in first place.

Now watching Nucks/Sabres game. Listed the Referees and Linespeople for the game. Never saw them referred like that before...

We would too
The company I work for is located there.
I doubt we’d move but it would be my first choice in Canada.
We lived in Kelowna a long time ago.
My wife hated it there, it gets overrun in summer and traffic is brutal.
I liked it but I could cycle to work everyday.

I used to have family there, it's quite beautiful. Always thought it seemed really clean, although I haven't been I'm years.
I was there last summer. It was more beautiful then ever. Clean and maintained. Quiet enough, but enough stuff to do for myself.

Saskatoon was a dump 4 years ago. Has it changed that much.
Are you confusing Saskatoon for Regina?

I was always impressed by Saskatoon. Too small for me to live but a really nice town
I’m surprising my wife to a trip to Orlando, Miami and the Keys at the end of March for her 40th. I usually leave Winnipeg and Canada 4/3 times a year so I can do my adult activities and no judging eyes lol.
