Yup it's just not Pride night that wont happen it's all the other nights, including Armed Forces Night, Filipino Night and Indigenous Night just to name a few.

Lavender hockey fights cancer jerseys won't be worn during warmups anymore and likely lose a lot of value for auction as well.

The South-Asian, Filipino, and WASAC Jerseys all seem to have been great sellers for the Jets as well.

Its saying the “league won’t be hosting” but it doesn‘t say clubs are forbidden at least in this press release.

Edit I saw this quote:

"The jerseys will continue to be sold, and pride nights "absolutely" will stay - Gary Bettman

Whenever there is a qualifier like "absolutely" in this instance you know it's double speak. It's sad it came to this, but progress takes longer than it should most of the time

Winter is Coming
I take it as teams can do it if they want , some will, some won't. Ppl blame Bettman but lots of blue state owners. I'd imagine if given the choice, Jets will continue to do it tho.

Seems like the league is trying to go the completely Apolitical route. Support nothing and you won't hurt anyways feelings.

If that's the case let's ditch the Anthems too.

Live and let live is a smart move.
Elevating a cause or causes that aren’t unanimous only divide people.

I've always been on the let's just keep it about the game train. Everybody wants the things they support to be included and the things they don't support to not be included. So let's all just meet in the middle and support nothing.

How is not hosting a pride night homophobic?

I'm old enough to remember when in order to be "phobic", you actually had to commit harm - not just refuse to show overt support
Exactly. Knee jerk labels if one doesn’t agree with another’s politics.

Good riddance to the political cause de jour. Sports (and entertainment in general) used to be good old escapist fun. Welcome back to better times. Now if we could just do something about those jersey ads.

I don't know why camps ans preseason is as long as it is. They don't need more then 4 games given half the starters just half ass it until the season starts.
