Jets need to make playoffs since no chance of a top 3 pick.

Teams a bunch of d bags, the McDavid draft year we made the playoffs too. Picked KC, so yeah.... worked out. But, will we get an impact dude at 17 18 19?

At this rate the way the Flames and Jets are playing the Canucks might sneak in.

The way things are going, Jets could get in without winning another game. I wonder if they could do it without scoring another goal?

West Wild Card chase, an experiment of futility.

Anybody know what is the record for getting into the PO with the fewest points?

Panthers in the playoff spot right now. Would be wild if the Jets miss and the Panthers make it in. This place might combust with that combination of playoff outcomes.
Paul Maurice seems to thrive coaching veterans, and that's what he has in Florida, a veteran team. I'm happy for any success Paul Maurice has, he was a good coach for the Jets, he could only push the team so far though. I'm still optimistic that Bones can coach this team into an 8th place position like he did for the Stars last year. I'd like to believe that Seattle is still in reach too. Honestly though if it came down to Colorado or Vegas for a 1st round matchup, I'd feel more confident in being able to upset Vegas.

During the Current era (from 1992 to today), there were 2 lock-out seasons of 48 games, 2 84 games seasons and the rest were 82 games seasons. Again, the number of teams varied from 24 to 31, but there were always 16 qualified teams.

  • 84 games, 24-26 teams (1992-94) : 82 points (33-35-16) by the 1993-94 Sharks
  • 48 games, 26 teams (1994-95) : 42 points (19-25-4) by the Sharks and (17-23-8) by the 1994-95 Stars
  • 48 games, 30 teams (2012-13) : 55 points (24-17-7) by the Islanders and (26-19-3) by the 2012-13 Wild
  • 82 games, 26-31 teams (1995-2019) : 77 points (31-36-15) by both the 1996-97 Senators and the 1996-97 Canadiens

I’ve been cheering for the Panthers all along. Being in the East their success has no impact on our chances. Looking pretty good both the Jets and Panthers make it at this point.

Well we have a snails race to the last playoff spot lol. Does anyone want it.
In a snail’s race it is is best to be the lead snail. And somehow with the page jumping around on my phone I also quoted myself
