The arms race this playoffs is crazy, GM's trading massive futures and only one of them will it pay off the rest will be crying at the end of it. Crazy
The model for winning Stanley cups has changed. Go all out during your window and bust for several years while accumulating as many picks as possible.

Fans are going to get sick of this model.

You think they are going to flip Namestnikov?
Would make sense I guess. Retain another 50% and get a 5th?
Maybe more. But yep he is UFA, I doubt they traded for him to re-sign him, though that's possbile.. Trade helps Tampa to make more moves, but it will help San Jose too. Don't think you could get a 5th for Eyssimont. In spite of all the praise he gets.

I think Eyssimont is in and out of the lineup there. SJS hopes Namestnikov's season is an outlier.

Namestnikov is a UFA so his season is irrelevant. But he hasn't been much better than this for several years.

I expect Chevy to do something of substance. Telling your season ticket holders that you are committed to winning and doing a single upgrade prior to the deadline can’t bode well for the March 10 renewal date.
