well if it ends up being tampa vs leafs and nyr vs devils in the first round then 2 teams that spend major assets are going to be bounced in the 1st round

Going to be fun to watch the East be a blood bath and all those teams lose out of those picks & prospects they gave up for nothing. West is going to have it tough to compete when they meet

I'd be fine with that. I also wouldn't mind SJ. I'd hate the Habs or Hawks to win the Lottery. The rest are in between somewhere.

I don't think the lottery balls will get weighted in Chicago's favour, the league still is mad at that organization for the scandals they caused. Bettman's New York teams are loaded. Montreal only gets to draft first at home. It's Anaheim's turn I think.Chicago wins the lottery.

That's the best thing that could happen because nobody wants to face them in the 1st round. I like the Jets chances a lot better against either Dallas or Minnesota.
If you look at the standings with all teams having played 58 games (where Seattle and Colorado are right now), first round would be Avs/Oilers, Jets/Stars, Kraken/Kings, Knights/Wild.

I am leaning towards WC1 and cross over to the Pacific, if Colorado passes Vegas and I think they will. At least you avoid Colorado until the Conference Final.
