Lehner couldn't show up to camp because he's on the lam from his creditors. Vegas has every legal right to terminate his contract because of that - this was a settlement that gives Vegas the cap relief they are entitled to with Lehner breaching contract and gives Lehner some money he has no entitlement to to keep the PA happy.
As much as I don't like Vegas, that was a classy move.

Even he seemed to fall into our laps by accident.

And they didn't even play him the first 4-5 games, so even after they brought him in they didn't know who they had!

Even their successes were accidental.

It actually took the 9th game of the season. It seems that they didn't expect Zub to be anywhere this good... which is weird because even I talked about Zub's potential during the offseason and thought it was possible that he had Top-4 potential

f*** that's depressing lol. Especially with how incredibly mediocre Boucher is.

You mean mediocre for the AHL... We'd be ecstatic if Boucher was at least mediocre at the NHL level...

It’s a Toewes vs Kane debate
Not sure on this, although Celebrini may have some Toews in him.

I think his offensive ceiling is higher than Toews, but don't think Bedard will reach Kanes level.

Kucherov with a couple of empty net goals to get a hat trick. Watch him hit 50g this season and all the critics complain about how many empty net points he has like they did last year, but in the form of goals lol

Buffalo beat by NJ, NJ beat by Toronto, Toronto beat by Montreal, Montreal beat by Boston, Boston beat by Florida, Florida beat by Ottawa.

So at this point, we're basically most of the East's daddy....

He is a sometimes big guy. When you are on the 4th line you need to be an everyday player. Kastelic wasn’t.
You're right, but I'm not a fan of Gaudette or Jenik & think Kastelic could drop both.

I'll never forget his first NHL goal a couple of years ago against the Habs. Scores, and gets in a fight seconds after.
That was EPIC.

Damn, was hoping we'd sign Teravainen, off to a good start with 3 goals and 5 points in 3 games. 5.4 AAV x 3 years

Noesen was another one of my targets, 1 goal and 5 points in 4 games. 2.75 AAV x 3 years

And did we try to sign Steven Lorentz? I mean, he got 1 year at 775K, we could have beaten this, no? Good 4th liner with size and who knows how to use it and win puck battles. We need more of that

Yo Staios, time to trade Hamonic for Brett Kulak to give EDM a RHD and some cap flexibility :sarcasm:

Dream dream dream... Dream dream dream

Yeah Noesen over Perron would've been a goodie.

Kastelic has 5 points in his last 5 periods.

20% of his total in his Sens gear, in 145 games
Yeah he was under appreciated and underrated here.

Woulda been nice if we could have had Paul 3C and Kastelic 4C but oh well.

Bruins most likely specifically asked for Kastelic. We couldn't afford to pass on this deal as we needed to unload Korpisalo's contract (even if it was not 100%) and lol forgot to mention, get a legit starter in Ullmark

But yeah, I'd really like our bottom-6 to be :

Greig - Pinto - Brown
Paul - Kastelic - Cousins
MacEwen

We talk about the things regarding what Dorion did but we don't talk about not extending Nick Paul and Dylan DeMelo, they should have been keepers

Anyone watching Prime's coverage of the NHL tonight with Mtl vs Pitts?

Quality is soooo much better than anything you'll get through the Sportsnet or TSN apps. True 4K and amazing sound as well.

Really puts to shame the two main Canadian broadcasters as they have never provided anything better than 1080p-ish(often dips to 720p when heavy demand) streaming despite being these huge monopolies. We deserve better, especially considering how ultra expensive both services are.

I don't have Prime but will probably accept a free trial to check out the hockey. Is it just part of the base subscription or do you have to pay a separate hockey sub on top of it?

It's part of the Prime subscription. they only do one night per week as of now so it's not really something they can charge extra for. Worth checking out though.
