Does anyone know when the 2022-23 schedule is being released? I got a flight voucher from Delta from one of my trips a few weeks ago and I'm trying to pick either a Rangers-related trip (Peg, Dallas, Van) or see the Giants play Seattle and go to a Nucks or Blazers game.

By the way, for anyone flying the next 6-7 weeks, delays are going to become pretty standard due to how messed up the airline industry is lately.

Huska. I legit was not aware of this man's existence. I don't think that's every happened for a head coaching hire.

So the nhl made a record revenue of over 5 billion this year…..yet we still have basically a flat cap…..hmmmmm
The NHL played a 56 game season in 20-21(really just 2021)and the players got their full salaries. The NHL played with a limited amount of fans. The NHL had their 2020 playoffs in a bubble. So much was lost money. 50/50.

Yesterday was the 30th Anniversary of the Eric Lindros trade.

The Rangers were sending Tony Amonte, Doug Weight, Alexei Kovalev, John Vanbiesbrouk, three first round picks over four years and $12M to Quebec for Lindros. I also read the Rangers were acquiring Jacques Cloutier in the deal to be the back-up to Mike Richter.

Amonte was only regular skater from the 1991-92 team in the trade. Weight was a young kid of that team. Kovalev was in Russia. The Rangers had Richter and it was time to get away from the Richter and VBK split. VBK wasn't planning to report to Quebec. James Patrick was replacing him in the trade.

If the Rangers trade had gone through, the Rangers would have been a good team. Lindros was 19. Brian Leetch was 24 coming off a Norris Trophy season. Adam Graves was 24 and he had really good first season as a Ranger. Sergei Zubov was coming over that summer. He was 22.

The Rangers would have had Messier, Lindros, Sergei Nemchinov and Darren Turcotte down the middle. Randy Gilhen was there too.

Mike Gartner was on the team. Graves.

Kris King, Paul Broten and Tie Domi. King and Broten played with Turcotte.

If Patrick went to Quebec, maybe the Rangers trade VBK for a defenseman. Maybe Quebec would traded VBK. Maybe he would have reported. The Rangers tried to trade VBK during 91-92. Expansion was coming in 1993 and teams could only protect one goalie.

The Rangers would have traded Turcotte for another piece. The Rangers wanted to trade Turcotte and Patrick to the Blues for Adam Oates during 91-92.

Amonte went to Chicago for Stephane Matteau and Brian Noonan. Weight for Esa Tikkanen. Jeep and Turcotte for Steve Larmer and Nick Kypreos. Kovalev was a key contributor.

The Rangers won the Cup two years later. The Rangers traded those pieces for players who were part of that team.

We will never know.

In the past it's been a week after the finals end I believe

Think it is more of the opposite. Fleury won't help their defense. Wouldn't take any of their top 4 over the Rangers top 4.

MAF is pretty close to being done. He was not very good for either Chicago or Minnesota last year and ended their playoff series against the Blues on the bench.

I would have kept Amonte, Weight, Kovalev, Zubov.

Zubov is in HOF.

Kovalev and Amonte were among the best wingers in the league in their prime.

Weight was a great middle six guy.

I still think the Rangers win the Cup with them. It always bothered me how little the Rangers valued building a team.

There really isn't another option.

If he doesn't win the Calder it'll almost be a bigger disaster than Shesty not winning the Vezina.

I appreciate the reassuring words, and I can only agree.

Imo, he's on par if not more important to the German system than Draisaitl is. We desperately needed that stud defenseman.

Also very nice: defenseman Kai Wissmann got a contract from Boston after a very strong IIHF WC. He's still kinda young, will turn 26 upcoming season.

Brunette out, Maurice in for Florida. Brunette didnt do much for the Panthers beside steer the ship and they made no adjustments in that sweep by Tampa. Their star players also didnt show up. Not surprised he got canned.

For a guy in Maurice though who has never won ****? It was Bruno’s first go around. Cooper isn’t a slouch either lol. He got swept by Columbus too. Maurice’s team got swept by Montreal lmao.
