Blackhawks give members of local media can of beer; the can has a depiction of the Blackhawks logo on it. Apparently, even the the team thinks the only way to cover them this season is by getting the media drunk. LOL

McIlrath is now on the Capitals. Oh what could have been. shocked teams still give him chances.

He signed a 2-year, 2-way deal with them last season. By most accounts he's a pretty solid AHL d-man and someone you can call up for half a dozen games as a warm body if you hit an injury patch.
I don't think he or anyone else, believes he is suddenly going to turn into an NHL regular

I wonder how he feels about being a bust. A player like him could have been a 4th round pick. It’s not like his potential was Chris Pronger. I always felt his upside was Adam McQuaid and he could not even accomplish that. Yea injuries happen but the skill does not just go away. Maybe he never had much skill at all. Awful scouting back then. Although one year earlier they selected Chris Kreider. Who the hell knows.

Strome could make his Ducks debut tonight.
His brother Dylan just scored for the Capitals 2-0 lead heading into the 3rd. Connor Brown scored the other goal. Underrated player

Yup, silly pick at the time and super disappointing in hindsight. Although I'm still partially convinced that even if we ignored Dylan we would have done something stupid like draft Emerson Etem...
I assume that he'd have a few lingering 'what ifs' about his career, but a quick Capfriendly look shows that he'll make $475k this season playing AHL hockey and hasn't made less than $275k per year, so overall he's probably feeling pretty fortunate that he's been able to do that for 10 years

Lindy's bro Charlie got the win and 3rd star for the Caps. Good opportunity for him behind Kuemper, sucks its with the Caps.
