You guys can say what you want but Terry didn’t even have his gloves off and Beagle’s trying to readjust Terry’s face. It’s not a good look from a shitty team looking to scrap because another player made you look like idiots.

And for as much as we all want NHL players not to be robots, the second someone opens their mouth, you jump down their throats.

f*** that. I know he’s a rival, but Zegras is in the right here and should be calling out the league. That whole situation is bullshit.
I don’t think Zegras understands the inherent contradiction in his interview. If you go into a scrum to stick up for a teammate, you have to be prepared to defend yourself. I don’t care if it’s Lemieux or Kopitar, be ready. Kopitar dropped the gloves when Burrows wanted a piece, and got himself a wrestling match, but was fine. Did anyone ask for a suspension? No.

Terry got fed his lunch, but that’s his own fault. Toughen up, butter bean. Don’t cry to a reporter. If he’s so upset he should square up with Beagle the next game and take care of it. Or maybe don’t poke the bear.

Terry went after Beagle. In a good way, standing up for a teammate, but to say he didn't have his gloves off, he went after Beagle. He wasn't skating to the bench and Beagle came up behind and suckered him. Beagle crosschecked Zegras, stood there, Terry came in, and then couldn't back it up. If you don't want to back it up, don't go in there. Know who you are as a player I guess. If you're not a fighter, don't get involved with a 4th line scrub who is going to punch you if you go at him.

It sucks that his face looks like that, but he's a grown man.

Yeah this is only an issue because the soft lacrosse player is whining to the media. Terry went in there and instigated the whole thing. Now he wants to cry because he got tagged. STFU. Zegras is a bitch too. F him and that whole garbage team.

So...Blues beat Calgary, Kings play Cal on Monday...Calgary has two games in hand beyond that but with one more Calgary loss the division would be up for grabs between LA, Edmonton, Calgary.

Holy shit.
The 2 games in hand cause me to pause my optimism…..but yeah, if we win in regulation on Monday, we got a shot.

You're assuming the Coyotes did it because they were looking like idiots, as opposed to a team already pissed at being down 5-0 and the opposition is still taking stabs at your goalie's glove.

I still disagree. I guess I'm in the minority here but I'm fine with that.

Terry went after Beagle as much as any player does after their opponent crosschecks the star of their team from behind. I'll even concede that Zegras "deserved" it—although it's hard for me to tell if Zegras ever even touched the goalie, and the play wasn't even blown dead yet.

So here's the timeline:

1. Zegras pokes Korenar's glove a good second before the ref blows the whistle
2. Beagle takes exception and crosschecks Zegras in the back from behind
3. Beagle attempts to challenge Fowler, who's kind of just like "wtf?"
4. Terry comes in to shove Beagle, they wrestle for a few seconds
5. Beagle drops the gloves, Terry doesn't, and Beagle just starts wailing on Terry's face

Up until Beagle drops the gloves, this kind of scrum happens every game, but Beagle crossed a line. I'm not saying that Beagle's a goon or anything, that's only the second fighting major of his career. But fighting a guy like that — one who never drops his gloves — just doesn't fly with me. I'd feel the same way even if Terry's face wasn't all f***ed up.

An entirely separate issue is Arizona's embarrassing announcing crew, but if we're being honest that whole organization is a joke. I feel badly for their fans, I've got a lot of friends in Arizona. That's a tough team to support.

Three games in hand actually — we've played 71 games, Calgary has played 68, and they have a sizable advantage in ROW. There's almost no chance we pass them unless we beat them in regulation tomorrow.

We do have a relatively easy schedule down the stretch though. Four of our next five games are tough — Calgary, Edmonton, Minnesota, Chicago, and Colorado — but the last six games of our season are against non-playoff teams.

There's a real chance Nashville's the odd team out, their schedule looks pretty tough. They've got games remaining against Florida, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Minnesota, Edmonton, St. Louis, and two versus Calgary. Of their 14 remaining games, only four are against non-playoff teams: Ottawa, San Jose, Chicago, and Arizona. Yikes!

nah man, terry went in there aggressive enough to warrant what he got

he was throwing a gloved punch on entry, it just got parried away.. he thought he could just slide in there and get away with a cheap shot like zegras thought he could take the poke and not face the consequences

beagle's "i'll take every one of you" act was a little over the top but terry and the ducks aren't innocent in what led up to this either

If the issue is Beagle overreacted, I agree, but it's also more likely the culmination of frustrations (like being down 5-0, out of the playoffs, jabbing at the goalie's glove, etc).

Zegras saying Beagle should be punished for hitting a superstar? Meh.

I'm all about players showing personality, but if that personality is a bit whiny or out of touch, I'm going to call it out just like I call out Evander Kane's seemingly tocic personality, with all the former teams and teammates who don't like him.

So what you're saying is we're gonna go on a mini winning streak before losing 6 out to end the season

Thing I am missing in all topics is how Zegras acted after the goal and looked like to be shot dead after that check.

That stuff would piss me off too.

Zegras is a symbol of what the game has gained and lost with this new generation.

Ridiculous skill, the ability to have an upper and lower body operating somehow independently from each other, but a total lack of respect for the integrity of the game paired with incessant whining. The look what I can do without understanding why it shouldn't be done, then shocked when there are consequences attitude needs to be stomped out of these primadonnas.

He is my least favorite player in the league by a wide margin. I hope every Michigan ends with a teammate taking a beating for him until he learns why previous generations wouldn't dare to try that in a game even though they had the skill to do so.

I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding - but are you against Michigan type goals in general? Or just against displaying high skill but remarking on the consequences?

Because I have no problem with teams using the Michigan, even though I'd hate it if it was done against the Kings. I just think Zegras is looking a bit whiny here. If he recognized the context of why the Coyotes were pissed, and started throwing some hands instead of calling for punishment, I'd have no problem with anything Zegras did.

Your timeline should include:
0. Zegras scores lacrosse-style goal right after attempting to score between his legs at the 10-minute mark in the 1st period.

Opposing players don't forget this type of showboating, this I can assure you.

It doesn't sit well with most of the players on the ice, wether it's an NHL game or pick-up at your nearby rink.

This is where Tyson Nash is coming from. Should he have said what he said on the air, maybe not? But that was coming from the player in him, and if I am being honest I can't really blame him.

Zegras is a helluva player but if he is going to continue to do those lacrosse-style goals, attempt flashy plays on the ice all f***ing game, poke the goalie after he has covered the puck, or whine to the media that he got his teammate beat up for it, he can a) suck a dick, and b) deserves every beating.

@King'sPawn Are we talking Arthur Kaliyev lacrosse-style goal or Trevor Zegras attempting flashy plays all game and then whining to the media after the game? I think there's a difference and it's not black and white. As I mentioned in my post above, players on the ice can decipher the difference.

Pronger said it the best "You try that once, fine. You try that again, and you're eating a crosscheck"

When your up 5-0, you don't go poking around the crease after it's covered. What did he expect was going to happen, the other guys are just going to be fine with it?

Ducks getting their shit pushed in again. Kings haven’t been getting any kind of help out of town for a while it seems now. Got to keep winning.

On a different note, Gibson seems like a shitty athlete. His body language after three goals in the first is just uncaring. Can’t have goalies showing that kind of attitude.

The shitty thing is you know the Ducks will get up for those two games against the Kings, and Seattle already knows theyr'e gonna push us around, worried about injuries AND results. but guess we have to get there first. Just sucks watching these assholes roll the f*** over for Edmonton and VGK.

Sutter trolled him in a post game presser and he lost his motivation to excel at the sport. His shit was over before it started. This is pure absolute truth and cannot be disputed in a any way.

Undoubtedly. It’s so rare for the ducks and king matches to not be close. Ducks are going to get up to spoil their neighbor and don’t really care about a Canadian team. You can bet on that
