Around the League Thread part V

We sent Nic Deslauriers and Hudson Fasching and received Brayden McNabb, our 2014 2nd round pick (Alex Lintuniemi — who?), and our 2015 2nd round pick (Erik Cernak). We originally traded both of those picks for Robyn Regehr.

So it was Nic Deslauriers and Hudson Fasching for Robyn Regehr (in 2013) and Brayden McNabb (in 2016). What a weird trade for Buffalo?
 
Bill Guerin made some nice moves to get the Wild ready for a playoff run.

Greenway, Foligno and Delauriers are an elite Neanderthal line.

Kids like Boldy are well integrated and producing.

Fleury and Talbot are the deepest goalie unit in the west.

I think they can match up physically against the Flames and Calgary. And they should have enough of a possession game plus goaltending to match up with St. Louis and Nashville.

I like them less against Vegas or Edmonton but the goal tending should be better for the Wild on paper. Fleury vs Lehner would be a great grudge match.

Right and then threw away Cernak and picks for Bishop.. major bummer there

Watching Avs Oil.. Pretty good hockey - Avs PP like watching a b-b ricochet off of walls w the puck movement

My goodness that poweplay by the Avs was f**ken incredible. Dear goodness. The tic tac toe passing and movement was just mind blowing. Too bad they couldn't finish the Oils in regulation but the difference between MacKinnon's team and McDavid's team is freakin Cale Makar. Oils have nothing close to Makar on the back end. Okay hell, no one has a Makar on Defense. I think Avs kryptonite however, is winning the Presidents trophy. LOL.

Thats about their only flaw.. And did u notice Sutter doing the psychological ploy of whoever plays them its a waste of 8 days .. classic

No one has a weapon like Makar. MacKinnon has his counterparts, but no one has anything like Cale on the back end. You give them a powerplay, you die.

I really like the depth they added too. Just have to pray the goaltending holds up.

There are going to be some absolute MONSTER 2nd round series' around the league.

And then there's gonna be the Pacific :laugh:

So what happens if Dadonov has to stay in Vegas? They won't have the cap space to return anyone from LTIR and if someone is cleared could they be penalized for cap circumvention?
Feel for Dadonov. Never have been a fan of his but he doesn't deserve this crap.
I guess teams can still make trades, they just cannot play in the playoffs if acquired after the deadline. So maybe Dadonov can still be moved to a team that is not on his no trade list. Hope if this happens the new deal costs Vegas a 1st.

Did the NHL misplace the list? Someone fugged this up. :huh:

"Dreger reported earlier Monday that part of the delay in processing the deal was due to the NHL not having Dadonov's no-trade list on record. Furthermore, neither team involved in the deal was aware that Anaheim was on Dadonov's list." TSN.
