Yeah, tonight a good night for rookies.

Matt Boldy scored his 12th of the season and now has 12-12-24 in 27 games at age 20

Cole Caufield scored in OT and had another multi-point game and now has 8-9-17 in 14 games since the coaching change. Age 21

Peyton Krebs 2 goals, up to 12 points in 25 games. 6 in his last 10. Age 21

Sillinger hat-trick. 11 goals, 21 points as an 18 year old.

Tomasino scored his 9th and added an assist for Nashville and is getting noticeably better with each game. Now has 8 points in his last 10 games. Age 20.

But expecting NHL production from young players is being unreasonable.

Let's use your dude Caufield as an example.

Literally busted out of the NHL from playing stupid ass minutes in the bottom six.

In the top six with PP time? well well well...who knew? answer: anyone with a f***ing brain.

Markstrom on the Flames has 9 shutouts. Flames are 2nd in the league for goals allowed. Sutter's going off over there.

With what will be 4 guys with 30+ goals, and 3 pt/game players. Maybe 4, if you want to count Mr. Cupcakes. Healthy team too.

Boldy has looked really solid. Like his game. If they have Rossi continue to progress and get into the lineup full time next year, those two will be fun to watch. This is not the boring Wild club of years past.

Certainly going to need the kids on entry level contracts to step up considering their cap situation the next few years.

Nice career for Giroux. With Landeskog out long term it's rumored Giroux to the Avs. Would be cool to see G chase a cup, not that I would want Colorado to win this year.

He was rumored to be going there before the injury. This could help make the cap work.
Also the rumor I had heard was the flyers were waiting for him to play in his 1,000 game as a Flyer before dealing.

Manson with 50% retention for Helleson and a 2nd? That's a hell of a deal for Anaheim in particular, I think. I love Manson's game too, he'll help Col's penalty kill and such.

And the Ducks also have Thrun, didn't those two play together a bit or something?

I think it is a good deal for both sides. Avs got max retention, and the ducks get a solid pick and prospect. Avs keep their first for Giroux.
