not sure how, but did Huberdeau not even get a fine for the elbow to the head of Iafallo? Seemed like a straight head shot and premeditated AF. Guy lost his cool and did something stupid and should pay for it. I like huberdeau so hope this does not come across as not, just the league needs some sort of standard.

Not even a peep.

Late game between a Florida and California team so it's like the game never happened at all, just gets recorded in the standings

The teams could open the doors and have a Metallica concert instead of the game and as long as they submit a complete game sheet everyone outside those two markets will be satisfied

f***ing joke

meanwhile Matthews was suspended before he stepped off the ice

driving into work all I hear about are how the Oilers and Leafs need to address D an G this deadline. How about talking a little about a team 2nd in their division that has lost what 8 regulars in 6 games. Maybe that team has some deadline needs.

We dont' exist until we eliminate a Canadian team. I'm good with it, shades of 2012.

While I would normally hope for a suspension, I'm actually glad they didn't. Panthers play some teams in our division in the next few games, so I'd rather they ice the best team possible. Should have at least got a fine, though.

In that case, I hope he's good and pissed off and his balls are tied like a bull

Might not be a So Cal thing. I get the feeling the NHL (and media) doesn't care much about Florida either.

I'm sure there would be a remark, even a "there will be no supplementary discipline" comment if Matthews did it instead of Huberdeau.

Vegas down 2-0 after 1
Dalla down 3-0 in 3rd

Looking good so far.

And on a personal rant, I have a pre-season dart throw futures bet on Kyle Connor to win the Rocket Richard. At this rate he’s probably going to finish 2nd 🤮

Just hard to contain a player who shoots the puck like Caufield. He might not be a “line driver” but neither was Brett Hull a generation ago. Having a shot like that is just something few guys in the world posses.

Being a threat to score a goal (let alone two in eight seconds), is a pretty major threat on the ice. Certainly more deadly than a player who is constantly on IR.

Looking at the standings and I noticed Coyotes have the best record in the West over the last 10 games. 7-3 and the night win tonight. I mean they are not going to make the playoffs

Let's hope Vegas doesn't fire DaBore before Sat.

Coyotes are playoff bound but maybe a late season boast will help their confidence for next year.

Holy shit you guys weren't kidding, Stars got pummeled and VGK is on their way there

Oilers are doing this now though

The 2019 draft class is looking pretty good, for the most part.

The 2019 draft is going to be tough for this squad with what they missed out on. Been saying it for a couple of years, we had a Maserati pick and will end up with a Camry player. Camrys are serviceable cars, it’s not taking a Jalopy like Tuebert or Hickey but still, it’s looking like a very strong draft.

You have to think it could be coming here real soon. They are about to go 0-5 on a road trip they played 4 pretty bad teams. And now they have to come home and play Florida. They really better hope we lose later tonight.

I wouldn't call 2019 strong, let alone very strong. I view 2019 as a pretty crappy draft. I mean outside of Seider, Zegras, Boldy, and Caufield, who is really good?

Hughes - disappointing
Kakko - really disappointing
Dach - disappointing
Byram - hurt, who knows his future
Turcotte - IR regular, disappointing2
Broberg - bleh
Podkolzin - meh
Soderstrom - meh
Knight - meh so far
York - Just OK
Newhook - He's OK, probably 2nd tier for this draft.
Krebs - decent, but nothing crazy good
Harley - Solid, but nothing great
You can go down the list with more of the same.

Bjornfot looks OK, right about his draft position. Same with Tomasino, I like him too. But they aren't anything really special. Kaliyev and Hoglander are the only two outside the first round that are worth a damn, really. Right now, there is exactly one player from that group with a fantastic all-around game and that's Seider.

2018 was the last strong draft, Better top end, far more late rounders playing lots of games, and way deeper. Everything recent has been average at best. I think 2020 is already better with Stutzle, Raymond, Drysdale, Lundell, and Mercer. We will have to see how the later rounds play out with that one.

Vegas needs to worry a lot more about Edmonton than the Kings, I think. I agree with you, might even be after this game if they don't come back. They are playing like they are toast right now. Amadio is playing fantastic, without him they'd be dead in the water tonight.

Aaaand PP goal after Marchessault's slash and misconduct

The Kings were in a position to choose what are looking like difference making players and they didn’t, same thing with Chicago, I liked him coming out of the bubble but it’s now at the point you can call Dach a disappointment, same thing with Kaako, this was his year where you needed to see something, like QB next year for us.

Hughes is scoring at a 97 point pace at 20, tough to say he’s been a disappointment. He answered the bell for this season.

There are a lot of guys looking like really good to great players and lots of other guys knocking on the door to top 6-9 spots at 20-21. The guy we took top 5 is not.

Kaliyev, Toby and now Spence do make up for it a lot, but you just don’t get to many top 5 picks.

Vegas is going full 2006 Kings. 23 goals allowed in 5 games on this trip. They just can’t stop the puck.
