The way the Kings are playing on the road, they might be better off finishing 3rd in the division instead of second.

Either way, it feels like Calgary and L.A. are on a collision course.

Crazy night tonight: Philly over Vegas; NJ over Avs; Yotes score 9.

Need the Preds to beat Dallas (0-1 in third).

8 up on the Ducks with a game in hand. Another team that is very likely to be selling at the deadline.

That would leave the Kings with 14 games remaining against teams that have little or no chance at making the playoffs, with 8 of those being home games.

The Kings only have 8 games remaining against teams currently in the playoffs (4 at home, 4 on the road)

Edit: Washington scores 2 quick goals to go up on Calgary. If that were to hold it's a 4 point deficit with them having 2 games in hand. Would be the perfect night.

NHL should ditch this stupid divisional seeding and wildcard format and bring back conference seeding. Give the top team in each conference the first and second seeds and let the rest of the teams in the conference fight for the next six spots.

We're not far from third in the conference

40 goals for the away team, and 45 goals for the home team tonight.

Last time there were 11 games in one night was Feb 1, and those games totaled:
30 goals for the away team, and 36 goals for the home team.

30% more scoring tonight.

Kings have one of the easiest remaining schedules. Problem is so do Calgary and Vegas.

On the other hand Edmonton has one of the most difficult schedules in the league from here on out. Further implosion incoming.

Anaheim, Nashville and Minnesota all have relatively tough schedules as well.
