If Eichel comes back injury prone and plays like Brad Chartrand, a lot of teams are going to look brilliant for not acquiring him.If Eichel comes back healthy and as good as he's ever been, a lot of teams are going to look stupid for not acquiring him.
f***ing Vegas....

What if Toffoli wheeled his bags out of the airport and rather than Lewis or Lucic waiting in the car to pick him up it was Darryl Sutter.

I still believe in Turcotte, and no one had any idea how their sophomore season was going to go after the disaster of their freshmen year + the pandemic, but damn I wish he'd stayed at UW another season.
Dwight King is an UFA. Just pointing that out for the Flames. Can't be the true Kings in the North without someone named King.
Man, did it fall off pretty quickly for King. He was only 22 and 24 on the Kings two championship teams and then it was over at 27.
Just a guy who didn't skate well enough to keep up with how the game quickly changed. He would have had a long NHL career in the dead puck era.
Ok. So many rule changes.Top 3 in each division and then the top 2 remaining teams in the conference are wild cards. A division could have 3, 4, or 5 teams make the playoffs. I think if a wildcard beats the winner of the other division, they stay in that division's bracket. Not quite sure on that though.
King had such an underrated hockey IQ. The guy was an absolute playmaker. I think on a speedy line, he could've done some real damage in the NHL. Hands weren't all there, but the guy had some hockey sense.Man, did it fall off pretty quickly for King. He was only 22 and 24 on the Kings two championship teams and then it was over at 27.

Didn't LA end up getting a 4th from the habs for him?

They also have Marco Rossi still in the A. Kaprizov has really elevated everyone in the lineup on nightly basis.
Except that Boldy is better than any current prospect that we have.
Not disagreeing with you, but we have to remember he is on the wild. Imagine him on the Kings. No doubt he'd be in the A this season.
The Kings have two players younger than Boldy in what appears to be their optimal lineup.

He sure as shit wouldn't be in our top six and that's not a slam at Boldy nor is it an indictment of our prospects but rather an observation (and direct admission) of utilization.
He didn't say that though, he said he'd be in the AHL. The same thing people have said about Stutzle, Seider, Zegras, Raymond . Just don't get why that narrative continues to exist on this board when the Kings have played younger players quite a bit.
As far as his usage, who knows, but he certainly wouldn't be in Ontario based on how he's looked so far. I think ideally the Kings would love to see Moore on Byfield's left wing as Moore is a perfect linemate for a young center, but they just don't have anyone that they could play up with Kopitar or Danault right now on the left wing. I don't think its out of the question to say a guy who has played as well as Boldy could possibly fill that hole if he were a King.
But it's also fair to say he wouldn't look this way in LA because had the Kings drafted him they probably would have neutered his offensive development by pulling him out of school early. In that case, then yes, maybe he would be in Ontario trying to discover an offensive game.
I'm merely being facetious to a point who knows how Boldy develops in the Kings organization but just by looking how they usually develop forwards the A looks like a path he may have to take just like every forward coming up. And I really don't think he'll being doing what he's doing if he's on the Kings. No way he gets PP time and he'll be playing with Brown. He's put in a position to do well with really good players on the Wild.
