When it rain it poors. U.S. Loses in a shootout after leading 2-1 for 59 minutes and some odd seconds. Slovakia goalie stopped all 5 shootout attempts. Still proud of the boys. Most of them were college kids. Faber had over 25 minutes again but not sure how they're keeping minutes didn't seem like he was out on the ice that much except for the OT where he was used as one of the regular Dman.

Yup, even when the game had passed him by the Kings were able to get a mid round pick for him, and he never played a game in the league beyond that season.

It's amazing what teams will give for players with championship experience, no matter their current abilities. There were rumors the Kings had an offer from (Calgary I think) for Mike Richards at the 2015 draft.

Sounded like Richards was all be dealt to one of the Albertan teams (guessing with retention or a sweetener), but then the border Oxy thing happened and DL pulled the deal.

With Toffoli gone, are the Canadiens moving to a university arena as well? What do they have left at this point?
They still have a few assets to move out. I would not be surprised if they acted as a 3rd party broker to retain money on UFA's traded at the deadline too.

I'm convinced the Cup Final is going to be between Calgary and Florida.

These Flames are freaking huge and mean and have the best GA in the entire NHL coached under Sutter. They remind me of our Cup teams.

I think you might be right about Flames/Panthers Cup Finals, but I still don't trust Calgary's depth. Toffoli might help for sure but Florida rolls 4 lines deep and their D is very good. Plus I'm not a fan of Gaudreau in the Playoffs could have sworn Fames fans were complaining about him as a no show in previous post seasons.

Yeah, but you know that little a-hole on the Flames will do something dumb on the ice and cost his team a series.

Gaudreau definitely hasn't performed as well in the playoffs as the regular season. Looks like Calgary, Colorado or Minnesota in the West and Florida, Tampa, Carolina or Pittsburgh in the East.
