came to post the same. Fire a coach after a playoff win and bring in Trotz..Would be amazing!
TMac has a better playoff record compared to Trotz before the Caps 2018 playoff run. I think Trotz coached teams were 5-10 (series record, not games). TMac is 6-7 series record as head coach in less seasons. There were plenty of rumors in DC that Trotz handed some decisions to Reirden after the Caps went down 0-2 in round 1 of 2018.

Wish the Kings had a GM as bold as Lou.

Blake should fire TM and hire Trotz.

Trotz is probably going to be coaching the Red Wings next year.

To be fair, Trotz only coached the Predators before Washington.

he has looked good this series. One of LA better forward IMO.

I don't like TMAC's player usage, but really the team has been winning and the results are ahead of schedule. So what the hell do I know.
He looked real bad in game 3. Other games he has played well.

Every "even" day series (Canes-Bruins, Leafs-Lightning, Oilers-Kings, Wild-Blues) tied at 2 games a piece.

The Avalanche-Predators series seems to be the only obvious mismatch at 3-0, just like Darryl Sutter called it.

Biggest Fallacy about Quick is that the contract was bad. The below is from this articel: NHL playoffs results daily: Blues, Bruins, Lightning, Kings all tie their series

I think that overall Quick has had more years where he produced over his cap hit than under. And the years he produced under where not the years the kings had the team to go deep anyway, or were rebuilding years.

Only argument that I can think of his deal being a bad deal for LA is that it created too much space to give big paydays to Kopitar and Doughty...but even then those deals were signed when cap was going up and 8 digit contracts seemed to be the trend going forward.

I don't think he's looked "good", he's looked less crappy than typical. Seems to be a decent penalty killer though.

Created space to give big pay days to Kopitar and Doughty? Only if they wanted to leave were they not getting those contracts for having won the organization 2 Cups. Doesn't matter what Quick's hit was.

The cap hit wasn't the problem with the contract. The term was the issue, but that's obviously why the hit was reasonable. Had Quick had to sign with the current contract rules, it's probably a $7.25m hit, which would've ended after last season.

I was reaching for a negative as I agree those deals are happening either way. Bottom line IMO the contract has worked out as well as could be expected, and I think was a net positive for LA.
