It's amazing that we are 1/6th of the way through the season and those three teams have already given up 147 goals. It's going to take Arizona and Chicago years to rebuild those crappy farm systems they have. Arizona I get, but Kane and DeBrincat are the only scorers worth a crap on that team right now. Toews is worse than Brown and Dach looks like a bottom 6er, nothing like a 3rd overall. Oh, and Iafallo >> Kubalik.

Even I knew he was a real a-hole to work for and wasn't very kind to those around him. Why it took so many years for the Samuels to fire him is beyond me. This is not like it happened this one time.

Is anyone else surprised that Martin Madden wasn't tapped as Interim GM instead of Jeff Solomon? He's been with the Ducks for years and he's found gem after gem for them in the draft. Perhaps he prefers scouting, or it's a Paul Fenton situation where he doesn't have the skills outside of scouting, but if I were him I'd feel a bit burned that the new guy was tapped immediately.

Timing is everything. I doubt he's gone if this happened a year ago.

I mean, like I said in the GDT, it's not that different.

We're down Doughty, Walker, Byfield, Vilardi, Arvidsson, Andersson. Athanasiou JUST came back. Those are more significant losses than most teams in the league right now.
