Because the Union wouldn't allow it.

I'd like to test that. I'd like to see what the union would say about defending guys who helped hide sexual abuse, especially given that sexual abuse was done to a fellow player. Put the union in an awkward and see how they respond.

Kraken 3 stars of the game are tossing a stuffed salmon to the fans instead of a stick. I get the reference but it seems kind of lame. I don’t know if they are doing it because it is cheaper or safer, but my niece got a stick 10 years ago at a Ducks game( sorry but she is a Ducks fan) and it is still on her wall. How long will a stuffed salmon be kept? Sure it is a unique idea but not as special to me.

I don't think the league is interested in that kind of battle. Who knows why the players didn't say something? Were they afraid? Was it the bystander effect? It's difficult to say especially ten years later. The organization was fined because there were documented meetings and such where the situation was brought up.

The league doesn't even need to be in the battle. The players' lawyer can publicly do it. Perhaps though he's friends with some of them though so it could still be an issue that way.

When Seattle wins their first home game; salmon all over the ice. Should be a nice get for the ice crew, if they can get them in a refrigerator quickly.

Kyle Beach is a million times stronger than every member of that Blackhawks organization

And the Panthers are about to skyrocket up the shit list if they let Q behind that bench tonight

Guessing the Yotes got off worse because it gave them an unfair competitive advantage over the other organizations.

I actually think the Coyotes punishment was decent, if not light.

But it exemplified just how light I consider the punishment to be.

I would bet good money that there was a serious discussion of omitting them from that draft entirely before backtracking.

i'm giving the panthers tonight's game just because of the timing and logistics of all this, but if he's not packing for his "administrative leave" postgame, there's a problem

Just read the article on NHL.com just freakin disgusting. Eff the Hawks and that whole organization. Everyone in that front office in 2010 should be put in jail. Absolutely Disgusting. Glad Beach came out and hope the Hawks get the kitchen sink thrown at them. F***en disgraceful. And Toews what a great leader he was. Brutal.

I haven’t paid much attention with the new national TV contract but are ESPN and TNT doing the same as NBC did with their main focus on 7 teams (Philly, Chicago, NY (Rangers), Washington, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Boston). Man, NBC treated the rest of the league like shit back in those days.

I mean the major factor is clear now but Kyle Beach was always one of those "what happened" guys, too. Running a kid through the wringer like that is disgusting for what it did to him as a person and I know this is subsidiary to any other concerns but his hockey career too. Sort of like Akim Aliu, like sure they had enough question marks that they weren't sure things on the ice, but hockey culture buried them both. Hockey is for everyone, indeed.
