If Eichel is healthy and they get him for that rumored package, Vegas just bent the league over.

What's a similar package from the Kings like?

Turcotte = Krebs
Hague = Anderson
Reilly = Some sort of draft pick since he won't be a long-term solution for Buffalo and is UFA after this season
Vegas 1st = Kings 2nd haha.

Wouldn't Turcotte, Anderson and LA's 1st and 2nd next year be better? Would you do that with all of the prospects already in tow for LA?
Krebs was picked at a slot more in line with Kupari. Theres really no top 5-10 overall talent in that lot. Sabres fans asking for 4-6 top assets are going to be sad if thats the return.

I would, but I've been very pro-Eichel since news of his departure first broke. And when he's skating circles around our team for the next five years we'll be saying "we could've had him".

Or his neck is jacked up and he is worth shit and Vegas is stuck with his $10mil. Listen, if Eichel were healthy and I was a team as good as Vegas, I'd be loading up the Brinks truck, but I am not. I'm a team that has not sniffed the playoffs in several years I'm just starting to exit a rebuild and the last thing I want to do is put a big stack of elite assets in the pot for a guy who may NOT ever be the same. Maybe he is, but I don't want to make that deal given where we are at right now.

What about when he’s on LTIR recovering from neck surgery? If Buffalo is suddenly willing to trade him for a bunch of crap, there couldn’t be a redder flag.

Those are certainly real possibilities. But if LA does their due diligence and believes he's healthy, then we should pull the trigger.

I’d rather build a team than a one man shit show. We have enough assets to build a very solid team even if Kopitar and Doughty age out before it does.

For all we know, LA has done their due diligence and believes he’s NOT healthy.

There are probably just as many people questioning Turcotte's long-term health outlook. I'm just saying that if the Kings trade for him, I'll trust they're certain his health won't be a long-term issue. If they don't trade for him, that's fine too, but I'm on the side of "If he's healthy and the cost makes sense, pull the trigger".

Lightning finally getting rid of Tyler Johnsons contract

TB finally cut off their Johnson.

Why weren’t the Arizona Landfills in on this tremendous opportunity???

I'm not sure whether you're referring to acquiring the Seabrook contract or taking Johnson and the pick, and that kind of makes the situation even worse.

Kind of wild that that's all it took for Tampa to unf*** their roster.

Remember that they have also lost Gourde, Goodrow, Coleman is gone come tomorrow. The bottom 6 is going to get overhauled.

Savard and Schenn are gone from the backend.

Their backups - McBackup and Gibson look to be gone as well. Yes, not big losses but it’s still organizational depth.

They have taken some hits.

I have no idea what the hell Chicago is doing this offseason

Toews, who didn’t play a single game last season, doesn’t want a rebuild, so Chicago is making all sorts of moves that won’t move the needle. I’ve become so irritated to this type of nonsense. I just hope Blake doesn’t give in to this type of behavior from Doughty and thankfully he hasn’t yet.

I think Jones moves the needle some and Johnson is a decent player who will probably thrive in an expanded role, but yeah Jones alone != prime Seabrook, Keith and Hjalmarsson.
