Honestly I've stopped trying to make sense of whatever the f*** is going on today. I can't even keep track.

MAF broke you today, didn't he? :naughty:

Bad signing, but it's the cost of doing business. They want to win in the first few years. If they do, they'll say it was worth it. If not, it's going to get more difficult each year trying to build a team.

Good for MacD, he might just see regular shifts. They have 12 million to sign a good goalie, retain Jost, and sign two more forwards. They also need a #7D and a couple forwards for the bench. Gonna be tight unless they jettison someone.

MacDermid is interesting in that a team can roster less than the maximum number of players if they think he can play both forward and defense on any given night. In theory, that's a whole minimum contract you can save.

Yeah, he could get lots of time.

I think they still have to have a minimum roster size of 20, right now they are at 16. Jost will make it 17 once they sign him. I doubt they go anywhere near 23, even some ELC's will put them over once they get everything settled.

Well, imagine that Tyler Johnson and a 2nd round pick to Chicago for Seabrook's contract, which is essentially free cap space.

Tampa clearly is finally going to suffer the slings and arrows of being over the cap, so get those Sergachev trade offers ready.

Was hoping LA would bring in Johnson with a sweetener.

Feels like Blake is going to be left at the prom with no date

how the hell does Florida sign Barkov next year? Their buyout penalty goes up and they have no big contracts falling off
