Sounds like a potential sign and trade deal for Zach Hyman. He’s in Edmonton discussing a max deal.

Ken Holland going full f***stick.

On his podcast this morning, Elliotte Friedman noted that it wasn't the CAP hit/money issue that stopped Francis from taking PRice, it was that Montreal was not entirely forthcoming about Price's medical issues. WIthout a complete picture of what was wrong with him, the risk was too great.

"...not entirely forthcoming..."

You mean "...lying out of their ass..."

So all teams needed to do was lie about medical conditions of the guys they didn't want to lose? Where's the Easy button?

Can't wait until this becomes official..

Just when you don't think anything could be dumber than trading assets for old man, DDS, Kieth @ full AAV & losing your best defender that can defend, Holland goes & completely redeems himself!!!

You find some way to unload 100% of Subban's contract, only to sign Duchene as a result.

The Preds have $28m in cap space, with Josi signed forever, stuck with Johansen and Duchene, and Forsberg a UFA after this year. They have to be all in. But then they trade Arvidsson. Although that could be because his best days are behind him, and they're trying to inject some fresh blood.

Not quite Skinner and Okposo, but Johansen and Duchene is a pretty good team killer combo at the moment.

Do people even think before they post? Its Eichel that wants out...so he'll punish Buffalo by...staying in Buffalo?
I think the poster was referring to the fact that next year, Eichel will be able dictate where he gets dealt, thus lowering any leverage that Buffalo might have this off-season. If he only wants to go to Boston or NYR, those teams know they don’t have to offer the large package of picks/players that the Sabres are currently asking for.

Once again, it is Eichel that wants out. Buffalo does not have to trade him.

I think Seattle is going to flip a few guys today. Could see Soucy go to a team like Calgary, Montreal or Winnipeg. Has to be otherwise it would of seemed like a no-brainer to grab Kahkonen.

Same with Donskoi and Janmark. Could see one or both of them flipped to a playoff team.

I wonder about Tanev too.

It would be super awkward PR wise for Seattle to flip any of the guys that were there yesterday for the unveiling so I cannot see any of them being dealt anytime soon.

The Jones buyout isn't that terrible for the Sharks. They're feelings that same internal pressure the Kings are to try and do something other than meekly lose game after game. Even if it costs them in the long run, with nothing but maybe a couple extra bucks from just making the playoffs to show for it.
