Here's my first go of making the Kraken:
Drouin (MTL) - Domi (CLB) - Eberle (NYI)
Killorn (TB) - McCann (TOR) - Dadonov (OTT)
Virtanen (VAN) - Jarnkrok (NSH) - Donskoi (COL)
Volkov (ANA) - Turris (EDM) - Nieto (SJ)
Fischer (ARI) - L'Esperance (DAL) - Aston-Reese (PIT)

Giordano (CGY) - Miller (BUF)
Gostisbehere (PHI) - Demelo (WPG)
Dunn (STL) - Zadorov (CHI)
Butcher (NJ) - Stecher (DET)
Reilly (BOS) - Clague (LA)
Bean (CAR)

Dreidger (FLA)
Kahkonen (MIN)
Vanecek (WSH)
Kincaid (NYR)

Cap hit of $68 million, leaving $13 to sign RFAs and UFAs (Aston-Reese, Reilly, Clague, Bean, Dunn, Zadorov, Dreidger)

Honestly, I think Seattle should take Price.

Five years remaining on his deal. He is 33 years of age, and no reason to think he won't be every bit as good as Fleury.

He could also become a valuable trade asset in the future.

Vegas can eat a bag of dicks but that's a really cool connection, never mind getting a one-time-highly-regarded 1OA for a complete bust.
I think Vegas has shown that they are making everyone else in the Pacific Division eat a bag of dicks.

GMs better start figuring out a way for their team to out-Vegas, Vegas.

Don’t think that has a whole lot to do with Vegas. They got beat by Montreal ffs. The pacific division just sucks right now.

Article on some current hockey situations, large part on Price's status/injuries/etc.

Carey Price's uncertain injury status complicates Kraken's decision

But this is interesting, esp if you have several key players not vaccinated and are on a Canadian road trip.

The NHL and NHLPA are working on next season’s protocols. The Canadian government indicated fully vaccinated travellers from all countries could be allowed by September, enormous for the upcoming season. However, what happens if someone isn’t vaccinated? One possibility is that players who can’t cross the border won’t be paid for games they miss. We’ll see if that becomes canon, but teams and players have been made aware of that discussion.

Does Patrik Laine accept his qualifying offer ($7.5 million) to play in Columbus next season? Nice and easy for everyone, if so.

He should, how many teams are gonna overpay like that?

Non-Price question asked most on Sunday: “Do you think Seattle will try to re-unite Blake Coleman, Barclay Goodrow and Yanni Gourde?”

they were a very effective line.

Is this, reverse psychol...come on, who is this posting under this name?

Took another run through this morning based on some of the talk by the media.

Dreidger is likely to be the Florida selection and will sign a multi-year deal with Seattle.

There is some talk about Seattle taking Tarasenko and flipping him to Philly, per Frank Saravelli. In this scenario Seattle also selects Robert Hagg as part of the deal.

Buffalo radio seems to think Will Borgen is the target.

Toronto (Sportsnet 590) believes is it between Kerfoot and Dermott. They also had Andrew Raycroft on about a week ago and his thought was Seattle would be interested in Lauzon or Zboril.

We really were not familiar with the likes of Haula, Karlsson and Carrier when they were selected in 17'. All a few of these guys need is an opportunity. Would not be suprised if one or two of Lauzon, Benson, Gauthier, Pedersen or Mascherin can make a name for themselves if they end up in Seattle.

Believe Francis has links to Bean, Gauthier and Fleury via his Carolina days so all would be logical selections.

I really like the potential for DeMelo to be selected. I think that would be a great pick for Seattle. Underrated guy on the backend. Recall he was part of the Erik Karlsson trade

The challenge is taking 11 defenseman as all of them would be eligible for waivers so you are either hoping to sneak one or two through or you are flipping a few post expansion draft which is what is likely to happen as it did when Vegas completed their draft. They ended up shipping out Emelin, Methot, Van Riemsdyk and Schlemko.

Keep an eye on the Islanders as @deeshamrock mentioned earlier in one of the threads. Lou may have something up his sleeve. Could the Islanders have Seattle make a 'wasted pick' eg: Ken Appleby as part of a pre- arranged deal? Very possible.

Looking forward to Wednesday evening. I'm kind of hoping things don't get leaked by agents during the day like it did for the Vegas draft but that's probably wishful thinking.

Min/Max Cap Hit: $55.9 million (not sure why it didn't show on the photo below - text error)

If Taresenko goes to Seattle it will be interesting to see where he gets flipped.

I think St. Louis goes hard after Landeskog with the cap space freed up.

I agree. I'm thinking they want a UFA Landeskog. Because Tarasenko was off and on LTIR, they couldn't do anything major with his cap space. It was dead cap for them.

Having Seattle draft tarasenko would let the Blues upgrade with Landeskog. And they weaken their rival by doing so. Win win.

Almost 30 years old and has never scored more than 8 goals and 24 points. LOOOOOL what are these f***ing GMs smoking? Using their math Danault is a 7x10 player!
6 years is absolutely incredible

this dude had 3x3 written all over him, how it turns into 6 is like... wtf.

Goodrow is a hot name role player from the back to back champs, who might just be the best cap era team. Coleman is going to get a good contract for himself too.

That's how free agency works. It's not going to stop until more players are available for cap space in the summer.
