Those potential Vegas team names are pretty bad.

Desert Knights is better than Silver Nights in my opinion
The Las Vegas Dessert Knights, brought to you by the buffet at the Bellagio...
I made a joke about calling them the Golden Knights a few days ago and now it's actually trademarked as one of the options.
Anyone else find it odd that a Junior team is preventing a brand new NHL team from using the Knights because of copyrights? It's not like there aren't any junior teams with NHL names (Kitchener Rangers and CharlotteTown Islanders)
“The London Knights own the name in Canada, and to acquire the name from London is not economically feasible,†Foley told the newspaper.
“In the U.S. ‘Knights’ are fine. But we can’t use it in Canada, Foley said.â€

It is also expected CAR will offer Raffi Torres a PTO
Wow...just when I thought the Canes were doing smart things....huge step backwards there...

Reductions were to be made to the pants and upper body equipment, but it's now thought that only the pants stand even a chance of being ready when the regular season gets underway in mid-October. Certain elements of the altered chest protector gear may be available later in the year.
Both Campbell and Schneider said the biggest challenge was co-ordinating production of the new equipment with various manufacturers. The two sides, steered by Kay Whitmore from the NHL and Rob Zepp from the NHLPA, were relying on manufacturers to design new models with the proposed reductions, a process riddled with disappointment and frustration.
Vegas team name should be Sin City Saints.

I read somewhere in the last couple of days that Foley is also considering Sand Knights, which is awful...
Sounds like London is asking for an insane rights fee to let the team use the name in Canada. Doesn't AEG own the London Knights?
Just call them the Royal Knights.
in other news Stoll signed a PTO with the Blue Jackets. Thought he maybe done .
He is done, but he is a veteran with two Cup rings who can win faceoffs so teams will continue to give him a shot to see if anything is left. I would be shocked if he makes the team out of camp, he was abysmal last year for NYR and Minnesota. Amazing how quickly Stoll and Richards turned into Hunter and Moreau.
