Don't get the fascination of some with Josh Anderson. It is like some Leafs fans are insecure and need to criticize him to make themselves feel better. Like the player but WTF cares about a Habs player. Similar thing goes for Caufield, Weber, Edmonson etc etc. Oh yeah let's not forget Barzal, and any Islander. Get over it. Please.

That poster has an agenda and has probably changed names a few times

Let me lay out my crazy agenda.

I don't want the leafs to make bad trades in anger or sign bad players. I root for the success of star players that were drafted and developed by the leafs.

I wonder what the agenda is of people who want to use the Habs as a blueprint. A team that can't make the playoffs in an 82 game season.

Just pointing out hypocrisy. After all, 2 goals in 19 games is stat that would make some of us lose our minds.

If the Leafs made it to Stanly Cup finals, not a single fan would care who scored how many goals

You can criticize all you want, but we lost to a team who's 5.5 million dollar player beat us
He has 2 goals in 19 games in stanly cup finals

Marner has 0 goals in last how many games now 16? we haven't made it passed 1st round

At least Anderson hits, has a intimidating factor

Take me to the Stanly Cup finals, I won't criticize you even if you score 2 goals in 82 games

wait so is every player on a team in tbr finals better than every player who isn’t?

is every contract on a team that is in the finals better than every contract for every player that isn’t?

is this every year? When the same team and dame player don’t make the playoffs the next year. Like Dallas just did. Are the player and contract still better?

I mean how does this work exactly?

Winners win that’s a fact. Plenty of great player aren’t in the hall of fame simple because they never won the cup, it’s a defining caveat to a career. This Habs team haven’t won anything yet, but they’re still in the fight, which is more than can be said for the Leafs……who are getting a early start to the golf season……again…….

Is this how you want the GM and ownership to think and operate?

If the Bolts do sweep the Habs it makes the fact that BriseBois wasn't even in the top 3 for that GM of the year award even more laughably absurd.

That award is stupid. How does Bergevin win it after his team was the worst playoff team? It’s supposed to be voted on for the regular season but it was clearly voted on because they miraculously went deep into the playoffs.

BriseBois finished 2nd last year and 6th this year.

This year it was Marc Bergevin of the Canadiens, Lou Lamoriello of the Islanders, and Bill Zito of the Panthers are the three finalists for the 2020-21 Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award.

2021 Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award voting
Points (1st-3rd)

1. Lou Lamoriello, NYI 104 (12-13-5)
2. Marc Bergevin, MTL 79 (13-4-2)
3. Bill Zito, FLA 45 (4-6-7)
4. Joe Sakic, COL 41 (4-5-6)
5. Kelly McCrimmon, VGK 40 (4-5-5)
6. Julien BriseBois, TBL 25 (2-4-3)

Seems the Atlantic Div has some serious GM of the year candidates with TB, Florida and Montreal, as voted by their fellow GM peers.

Name one...just one...GREAT player...not good or very good...GREAT...who isn't in the HOF (unless they are not currently eligible). Not winning a cup has NEVER kept a superstar with HOF worthy regular season stats out of the hall of fame...ever. There are a number of Maple Leafs who never won a cup who are duly recognized as great players and are in there. Salming, Sittler, Sundin, Cujo...not to mention all time NHL greats including Pavel Bure, Peter Stasny, Marcel Dionne...the list goes on. And lets face it...there ARE lots of players in the HOF not because they were great, but because they played on great teams. Clark Gillies comes to mind, and Dicky Duff, too. Cups are the cherry on top, and generally a team effort. They are in no way a reflection of a players total career and his worthiness to the Hall.

Taking this to the finals ? Yes

We have the most expensive line in the history of hockey

That should at least win me a round. We tried everything else. So maybe we need to change out we view our team and outlook

Well, if that introduction doesn’t get you amped up to win nothing will, pretty much do or die for Habs tonight, lets see if they have anything left in the tank?

Tampa going to be 2x cup champs very soon.

If they 3 Peat next year, they pass the Pens as the best team of this generation and are the 1st dynasty since the mid-80s oilers.

Man, Price is looking near sighted tonight. Long distance goal are becoming his kryptonite?

Isn’t a dynasty a 4 cup team?
